Sorry for picking out a single bit, but I do agree with the rest of what you've said, and if those are reasons to dislike her for you, then so be it.
But Tali made it quite clear that she doesn't approve of what her father did ("I never wanted this-,etc."), the only reason she is willing to be exiled in place of her father is because even though Rael never showed his love towards her, she still loves him, and if he were to be exiled, to be struck from the records, all the times he had neglected her for the sake of his work and the fleet would be for nothing. (Not to mention, giving the evidence results in the Flotilla splitting up, half of them planning to go to war, the other half intending to broker peace with the geth)

She shoots at the ceiling.
Besides, I'd be pretty upset too if I thought someone just condemned my entire race.

edit: unnaceptable typo

I'd be pretty upset if someone ran weapons experiments on my race and were making plans to wipe us out.
Does it matter where she shoots? You shoot the ceiling? For what? In the end she was still wrong to fire the shot whether her intention was to scare Legion or blow off steam.

Both Legion and Tali were clearly in the wrong during that argument, but they both had valid points as well.

Not saying it was the most reasonable thing to do, both of them were wrong, and you can say so if you've got enough paragon/renegade points, problem solved. ^_^

Not arguing that. Im saying Tali firing that shot was stupid, pointless, and a big middle finger to Shepard and his order to stand down.

People tend to not act rationally when they are angry (and Tali was very, very pissed off. Just look at how she shudders before she does it)

That's quite all right.  :)

No, as I said before, I actually do like her as a character.  (And I prefer the sisterly vibe I get with her to a possible romance, but that might just be because of my gender and sexual orientation.)

My impression regarding the experiments was that Tali initially disapproved of them because they endangered the fleet, and only later came to acknowledge that it might have been wrong to treat the geth that way regardless of how it helped or endangered the fleet.   Regarding her father, though, I absolutely agree with you.  The game couldn't be more clear on her motivations in wishing to be exiled in order to protect his reputation.  No matter how badly things turned out between them in the end, no matter how misguided he was, she still loved him.  And the moments when we clearly see that are some of the most powerful in the game.

I understand her anger too. But if Legion wasn't as calm as he was or as tolerating that situation could have easily turned violent.

Doesn't matter really. I'm still a fan of Tali hence the "I support Tali for ME3" in the sig.

Eh? The codex mentions that nearly all quarians acknowledge the fact that their exile is their fault...

You'll have to forgive if I haven't read any of the codexes - I base my opinion on what I get from in-game dialogue.
You either had 1) Quarians for destroying the geth, 2) Quarians for reprogramming/enslaving the geth, or 3) good 'ol vas Quib Quib!    Again, forgive me if I'm forgetting something here as I'm going by somewhat distant memory.
I don't know why I find Tali grating, but then again I don't know why some people find Kaidan/Garrus whiney!  :D  Physically, though, quarians certainly are neat looking, and if her face weren't covered she'd be my #1 Mass Effect cosplay choice.

As far as Tali shooting her gun off on a space ship crusing through the vaccuum of space...I don't see the sense in that, especially coming from a quarian who supposedly places such a high value on the welfare of their ships!

Because the twelve or so quarians you meet are representative of the opinions of an entire race, right?

As for the Tali/Legion argument, I have to say, out of the two squad mate arguments, it's the most mature. Where as Tali and Legion are arguing over the fates of ENTIRE RACES, Jack and Miranda are arguing over... what, exactly? It just makes them seem like immature children.

Not to hijack, but Jack and Miranda do have a pretty reasonable beef between them. Jack was tortured, abused, locked up, used in what amounted to biotic weapons tests against other children for over a decade by the organization that Miranda is a proud supporter and high-ranking member. They're not going to be palling around with each other in the ship's mess too much... It may not have the galaxy-spanning implications of the Geth/Quarian conflict, but as far as personal grudges go, it's got a lot of weight to it.

If we have to choose between the quarians and the true geth in ME3 im going with geth...quarians got what was coming to them and are a rather selfish arrogant race for where there at i don't blind the volus on the citidel for accusing the quarian 90% are jerks.

Caps lock is just to the left of the "a" key.
I'm actually surprised that people don't like the way she reacted to Jacob. Did you even play the Cerberus side missions in the first game? They're not the friendly kind of terrorists, it's made very clear that they're ****ing evil. If anything, I find it unrealistic that Tali, Garrus, Joker, Chakwas, and Shepard trust them so quickly. There should be more conflict there.

The Quarians annoy me with their whole "We've suffered enough!" play. Of course they'd say they've suffered enough. They need more punishment in my opinion.

I don't like Tali because of the Talimancers. I dislike the quarians because of their "Always blame the Geth" mentality.

Tali is Meh. I don't dislike her, I just find her forgettable with all the more interesting characters in the game.

The only good Quarian is a dead Quarian...perhaps with the exception of Kal Reeger. But really, they would make good shields in a fire fight.

I actually think Tali's (and Kaidan's and Ashley's) distrust of Cerberus is perfectly understandable. Cerberus has committed atrocities. Shepard working with Cerberus took me aback as well, I was really trying to tell Cerberus to take a hike during my first playthrough, I was surprised that I didn't have a choice in the matter.

The geth thing is also understandable up to a point, since the quarian's whole identity at this point is defined by their having been exiled from their homeworld by the geth. At least Tali and Legion can be made to come to an understanding, which shows that she's not completely unreasonable.

My dislike of the character is based on the slavish devotion of her sex-crazed fanbase, it's really not the character itself. One can only hear 'dat ass' so many times before the eyerolling causes a migraine. I think the romance was handled okay, but I really didn't want her or Garrus turned into LIs, for me that was a really jarring discontinuity. I just can't imagine that there would be mutual sexual attraction amongst species with such vastly different biology.

How about her poorly designed character and terrible accent?
