i'd like to do this for the levers. if the levers are broken i would like to have smoke coming out of them. if i add hem directly to the level i will have smoke that i can't remove and i need to make two identical areas with and without smoke.
adding fxe's in the area editor?

If you apply a VFX to a location you can remove it using the area object.

AFAIK you have to apply the VFX to a location using a script.
