I looked at a poll and it said Tali was the most liked.I don't get why, I don't hate her but she's not even in my top 5. What am I missing with her? Can someone explain.

Judge a character by your rules, man. If you dislike a character, at least have good reasons and be respectful of those who do like her, hopefully for good reasons as well. But don't let others make you think you're missing something.

3. Banter with Garrus



4. Arguably the cutest romance. It's very D'aawwwwwww...



5. Emotionally moving Loyalty mission (talihugz anyone?)

I liken it to the hatred of Final Fantasy VII.  Lots of people hate it only because so many people like it.  When I played the game, I couldn't compare my opinions to anyone else, and I genuinely liked it because it was a pretty good game.  That's the thing about calling something "overrated" - when you move past the hype, you realize it's only because the thing was good to begin with, and that's why it's getting a lot of praise.

i like tali because she is quarian..and we don't get much on them...and she is loyal to Shepard...and i like her VA...other then that...i don't see anything else i like....her romance makes me feel like i am trying to romance a teenager..sorry for the fans..it's just how i feel about it....for me the most liked character in ME universe is Ashley..so everyone has it's own preference...if u like tali and tali romance...so be it...ain't gonna make a fuss about it since i do want her as a squadmate in ME3

In my book Tali is the second worst character in the game. The romance is cheesy the backstory is meh and i just felt they could of done more with her. My favorite characters were Thane, Grunt and Mordin

She is the most liked here. This site is the not only ME community. O the 360 boards, there is a few Tali fans and more Miri and Jack fans, so this site she is the most liked, is she the most popular character ever? I don't know, I know where I live, in my city, there is more Miri and Jack fans then Tali fans.

Doesn't mean much, some of the other character support threads have gotten closed and had to start over for getting off topic, for some reason the tali one gets a pass...

No, those who says Tali is the most liked overall are wrong if they are referring to overall gamers. On the forums, yes. But I guarantee without a shadow of a doubt that Liara in ME1 (as "hot blue alien babe") would be the overwhelming choice for the mainstream, not just the forums. For ME2, Miranda obviously took the prize overall (look at the outfit). You cannot compare the microcosm of the forums to the macrocosm that is mainstream gamers.

I would be interested in what Bioware's recorded gameplay data says is the most popular male and femal LI. Also.... the characters from the first game were not really options as LI's in this game. Comparing LI's between ME1 and ME2 isn't really fair because the two were not properly presented to the player.
