maybe we should all just bend over and let bioware rape us and make us pay for the pleasure.
good idea folks.
It isn't rape if it's willing.
If you really are that disappointed by the game then that's fine,
but I don't see why you don't chill out and wait until more information
is released before making your final decision. It's your decision
though.

Quite the charmer.
Look, I understand that your higher faculties have been comprimised by emotions, but I'll still attempt to appeal to your sense of reason; what are you trying to accomplish by doing this? All you're doing is perpetuating the stereotype of the fanboi who hears no reason, all the while diminishing your, limited as it might be, reputation on these forums, lessening the impact that your words might have should you choose to craft an objective and thought-out argument.

i know MOST people on this forum are a bioware fanboy/girl so no matter how much they depart from the original the fanboys/girls will still continue to defend it and masterbate while staring at the bioware logo.

As this game (dragon age 2) is such a MASSIVE departure from the original game (art direction, story, gameplay i.e combat.) i think biowares best bet is for the final moments of origins to be shown in a cutscene and then Hawke wakes up and goes ''the warden? the blight? alistair? morrigan?, it was all a dream''.
And then bioware can continue with this crappy game and rename it so it isn't called dragon age at all.
Thanks for reading.
Art direction: changing slightly.
Story: How is it a massive departure? The only difference is that it's not following the Warden from DAO.
Gameplay: Bioware have said (and previews confirm) that the combat is mostly the same. They're not throwing everything out, they're building on what they already have.
Seriously, at this rate Bioware is just going to give up on sequels because they're too much trouble.

You know it's half a year or so until the game is released. Why don't you wait with this thread until you've actually played the game? How can you be so upset over something you do not know?

I think it might appease some people if the game didn't have the number 2 at the end. Rather some sort of subtitle, as it is plainly obvious that the game isn't a squeal of Dragon Age: Origins.
Well it isn't Dragon Age: Origins 2 and it would be very narrow minded of BioWare if they didn't do so. You would need a game glossary on the side of every game box to make sure you are getting the games in the right order. ;p
Dragon Age: Origins (2009)
Dragon Age: Awakening (2010)
Dragon Age 2 (2011), 3(2013), 4 (2015), etc. All continue your Grey Warden!
Dragon Age: Hawke's adventure (2011)
Dragon Age: Redemption(2012)
Dragon Age: Revival (2014)
Dragon Age: Last Stand (2015) -- Are all the adventures of Hawke!
Dragon Age: Child of the Old God (2012)
Dragon Age: Infusion (2013)
Dragon Age: Fade (2014) -- All let you continue the storyline of Morrigan's child!

the story to you isn't a massive change when it doesnt follow ANY character from the original or even the blight, or even the same country?uberdowzen wrote...

Well, no two stories are alike, it'd be boring otherwise. Even sequels dealing with the same characters are typically set against a different backdrop of circumstances and context, not to mention that the characters from the first story never (well, if the story's any good that is) make the same journey, or are the same characters in the beginning that they were at the start of the first story.
You do have somewhat of a point about gameplay however, it does seem to me as though what they set out to do will be a significant departure form DA:O.
