I first ran into 3 unfinishable quests in this game so far. One of them isn't major, the second one shouldn't have what is happening to it, happen, and the thrid one actually breaks the game so it's unfinishable.

The first one is in the Kocari Wilds and the Pinch Of Ashes quest:
Because there were no instructions on how to actually finish it, I just gave up, did the joining, Figuring I could go back and do it later....Nope, Area is closed off. now I have a journal entries that cannot be completed
Glad I did the Wild Flower Quest before I left or that one would be in the same state the Pinch Of Ashes one is in.

As I said those are not bad. but thsi next one shoudlln't be happening at all. This one is unexcusable:

The second one is The Return To Ostagar DLC:
The return to ostagar DLC, if you don't finish it up before you leave, the area gets closed off and you cannot go back.... This is DLC people are paying for, they should be able to go back to it when they want. You can with Shale,

The first part of the story Ok fine I can see not being able to go back because it's destroyed, ok that is understanable, but not DLC that sets it so you can GO BACK there if it sets it up so you can go back there to begin with why doesn't it continue to allow you to go back there when you want?

It shouldn't have been called Return To Ostagar....it should have been called Partially Return To Ostagar
 Which brings me to another point about this, why can't you go back into the Korcari Wilds in the DLC? That doesn't make any sense.

You are paying to be able to RETURN TO OSTAGAR, you are not paying to Return to Ostagar only once...
Again, not game breaking but a real annoyance


The third and final glitch is a major BioWare screw up, I wont even text it, here is a screenshot I took of my journal and I wrote what the problem is in the picture:



I have done everything there is to do in every area outside of Denerim. Denerim is the only place I have anything left to do.THERE IS NO PLACE LEFT FOR ME TO GO OUTSIDE DENERIM EVERY PLACE ON THE MAP OPEN HAS BEEN GONE TO AND CLEANED OUT AND DOUBLE CHECKED TRIPLE CHECKED AND QUADRUPLE CHECKED, NO OPEN AREAS TO DO ANYTHING IN EXCEPT DENERIM AND CAMP AND CAMP WILL NOT CHANGE WHAT'S IN DENERIM.

So don't anyone start being stupid and say I need to go somewhere outside of Denerim as there is no where else for me to go, and no where else for me to do anything.

That is why you cant get the Place of Power from the Alienage Tree yet. And other quests.

DABhand Do you like copying everything I say, your reply not only is an exact duplication of what i already said needs to be done, but you totally ignored everything else I said regarding this.

There is no difference between your reply and what I wrote in the topic...either way posting what needs to be done isn't going to actually fix the problem now will it?

I'm simply reporting a major game breaking bug in the game...

This is exxactly what you just said
just said that You cannot get to the end of the game first, without first getting to the end of the game. You read that I have no where left to go, nothing left to do the only place to do anything left IS IN THE ELVEN ALIENAGE WHICH CANNOT BE OPENED UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME.

That means the game is broken and cannot be finished because, according to you and what you just wrote, the gate to the Elven Alienage can only be opened once you get further into the game but the only way to get further into the game now IS TO GO INTO THE Elven Alienage...

Even though i said this clear as day in my topic I'll sya it again becuase you apparently don't read too well
The Elven Alienage IS THE ONLY PLACE LEFT FOR ME TO GO IN THE GAME...

.Also this topic is about a major game breaking glitch that actually prevents you from completing the game, Syaing what needs to be done after I Already said that is redundant.

It is rather simple.



To get the Landsmeet going you have to do the 4 main quest areas, Redcliffe, Ozrammar, Mage Tower and Brecillian Forest. Redcliffe will require you to do the Ashes quest to save the Arl of Redcliffe.



Once you have all 4, and the Arl saved, he lets you go back to Denerim to start the process of the Landsmeet, 1st you have to get into Arl Howe's Compound to save the Queen, then you can go into the Alienage after that.



Ooops did I post spoilers for you... Shame.

I told you exactly how to get the Alienage open, it doesnt open whenever you want it to open. I explained fully.

You again fail to read what is said to you, I gave you step by step and still your grasp of the english language fails you.

I am actually amazed you got so far with your unique playstyle cause some area's require thinking and some reading. You know for the ashes quest it tells you who to find to get to the ashes, but to make it easy so your brain doesnt fry up when trying in game, it says to goto Denerim and find Brother Genetivi who has a house in the market square, look on the map, look on the houses a little white cross will tell you which one. Go inside and everything else will be self explanatory. And to skip a part of the story, go into the back room to find a body and a book in a chest.

Actually if you look at the picture his text he added is covering the main story tab.



And for his Kocari Wild's Pinch of Ashes, it says in the journal entry to place on stones overlooking a domed roof in a lake, since he failed to read that and if he did he must be blind to miss the only domed roof in a lake in the entire map lol

I did, if you have played the game, then he would be on the landsmeet right about now, and to do that he has to take Andraste's ashes back to the Redcliffe to start that. Ergo he isn't on the landsmeet ergo he didnt get the Ashes.
