When I first installed the game it ran fine. After I installed the patch the program would not start.  Please send any fixes to my email at johnscherzi@comcast.net.

Update your VC++ 2005 runtime with that update

I went to the below listed site:

And dowloaded the file with the "86" designation, (sorry I doin't remember the precise file name).

The game started perfectly.

I know this not Bioware's fault, but they should put a warning on the patch with the site and file to download and they would save themselves alot problems. I have not idea why my system weas undated.

I also had to manually update the above, the auto update didn't pick it up. Don't you just love pc's? i never get tired of wasting my time patching patches, blah, blah, blah. no wonder pc gaming is slowly dying

They are working on a 1.01b patch -- Bioware QA sent me a link to it and it worked for me. So they're on the case, don't worry (too much).
