So I'am to understand that my Dwarf Fighter will not be able to start a romance in baldurs gate 2?
Is there any mods to allow this before I import?

There are probably a couple of romance mods out there which don’t turn down a dwarf. I know of the de'Arnise Romance which is dwarf-compatible.

I thought Aerie didn't have a problem with race. Viconia does though.

Or you can cheat a little (as I do):
// You are not compatible on race or gender grounds, and so your romance has never started. Play a compatible character, or use the following console commands to force the game to accept your romance irrespective of race and gender:- CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraMatch","GLOBAL",1) and CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("CheckJaheiraMatch","GLOBAL",1) and CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","GLOBAL",1)
Instead of Jaheira you may use other *incompatible* girls names.
//All four romance characters will romance a Human, Half-Elf and Halfling.
In addition, Aerie will romance an Elf and a Gnome, Anomen will romance
an Elf and Jaheira will romance an Elf. Viconia will romance a Half-Orc
with a bug-fix from Baldurdash.
So no one normally romance poor dwarf...

Besides Nalia Amber will be interested of the PC regardless his race. http://www.gibberlings3.net/amber/ Your PC has to have intelligence and charisma 12 or higher, though.

There is a mod that removes racial discrimination, but it does NOT work on characters introduced by mods.
All Race Romances Hack by Kevin Dorner.
