Make Placeable Appear To Move - How?

I have looked through some include files but I haven't found anything that would allow  me to script something to appear to move. It does not actually have to move but just reappear a little to the left.

I have been able to DestroyObject and CreateObject but they both remain visible and that looks quirky. I tried to use DelayCommand(CreateObject...) but the void version of CreateObject() has been giving me grief by not working. 

So, if there is a good way to set these ideas in motion any suggestions are welcome. 

edit: Or if there is another Module or part of the OC that does this - I will look there as well.

It's simple the tric is : it's a creature.



You take a creature, set it appearance differently and then you can Have it to move.



But since it is a creature you can bump it, so you have to be sure that the player can't touch it with a walkmesh cutter between the 2 for exemple.

Great idea Shallina - I will give that a try - but cant I set the creature as unbumpable? or will that make it immobile?

Also the placeable triggers a conversation that allows the PC to command it to move as it was a statue type thing. What does that stir in your creative mind? ;)

I just tried to change the appearance of a creature but the choices do not encompass placeables - so before i try to do this, will it work if I edit a 2da file? I have no problem with that, there are plenty of modified 2das in my module - I would just like to get more info before I go off on it.

When you destroy a placeable, first use SetScale to make the placeable invisibly small, then destroy it.

The only placeable appearances that can be used by creatures are limited to smuggler wagon, seige tower, and ship. Unless I missed a couple. That's a great idea Lugaid.

you can have more, it's just a 2DA thing :)
