I've been having a weird problem when I try to romance Tali. It's the Fifth conversation with her and she walks you into the engine room and says "I've been thinking about the last time we talked" and then the screen just turns black. I can hear the engine running in the background and if I press Esc, I can get back to the menu. I can also hit the space bar and I start talking to Tali again from the beginning. At that point, if I try to talk to her again, the exact same thing happens.
I've tried loading from the previous autosave and the exact same thing happened. I've recruited and made loyal everyone but Leigion (haven't completed the Reaper IFF mission yet). What is going on here?
PS, I found a YouTube video of someone having the same exact problem as me: www.youtube.com/watch

Nevermind, I've solved the issue. I went back to my last full save, just before completing Samara's Loyalty mission, and chose to just leave at the end instead of looking around. Somehow that kept the glitch from happening.

I am going to revive this because I have the same issue. I did just go up to the Normandy without looking around after Samara's mission and I still get Tali saying "I haven't forgotten what we talked about ealier." I did the Reaper IFF, and I don't get Tali's scene as I go through the Omega 4 relay.
Do I need to do the Lair of the Shadowbroker before I can carry on Tali's relationship? I "triggered" the mission by giving Liara intel about the Shadowbroker but I didn't actually do the mission yet. Would that be preventing the Tali relationship from carrying on? (Liara was my ME 1 interest and since I romanced her in every single run I did, I wanted to change it for once)

I successfully romanced Tali (Jack was ticked off, but then, she always is) without any DLC at all. The last loyalty mission I performed was Legion's. Pretty sure I did Samara's much earlier.

I've never been able to trigger any of the romance missions, but since it wasn't a priority, I didn't give it much thought. But now that I think about it, my romance options aren't working either, no matter which dialog choices I pick.
I have played as nothing but FemShep, because I prefer that type of story. The first two playthroughs, I didn't even try to get any of the romance options to work, because, well, I just didn't care if my FemShep got lucky or not. The latest two playthroughs, I got to thinking and concentrating more on the Renegade options, so I thought, "Hmmm, maybe my FemShep would like to get a little nookie on the side, seeing as how this was a suicide mission after all..." Nothing works, no matter what I've tried. I've even consulted a walkthrough (albeit late in the game) this 3rd and 4th time, and the jury's still out on any "action" whatsoever.
I don't know, it's just weird. I haven't really worked that hard at getting it to work, but I'll keep at it and see what happens. The only one I could ever get to act the least bit "interested" was Garrus, but he makes several dialog comments like we might "get together", but then nothing happens. Maybe my game is sensing that I don't really want to commit to any of the "FemShep/dude" relationships and just ignores my dialog choices to protect my sanity.
As I said: it's not really a high priority, but it is curious as to why it's not working...

Maybe you should use that shower in the Captain's Quarters a little more often...
OK, joking aside, the key to romance is talking to people. A lot. Over and over. Eventually, one of them will have an option or a response that shows some interest, and you follow up in like manner; being sarcastic or ironic is not going to get you into the horizontal mambo.
Hey, you could always do what annoyed Singapore so much and romance Samara! If I was playing Shepardess, it'd be a tough call between Garrus, Jacob, and her.
