I hope Bioware fixes the look and Feel of the Fade

That place has a washed out look that is just plain hard on the eyes.

I hope this is not just me, I really think the art direction for the Fade is in need of a massive overhaul.

Perhaps the Fade should look like DA-2 is now looking

I quite like it but I acknowledge others didn't.

I felt it was as intended, dreamlike and discomforting as it wasn't your characters natural environment, especially so for warriors & rogues.

My first playthough was a mage so the Fade didn't bother me so much, because it was essentially my first impression of the game....however, I wouldn't mind if they changed the music....

The music completely creeped me out, lol. I hated it.

I get that the fade is supposed to be boring, in a sense, because it's where your dreams are located. The whole drowsy look is probably what they were aiming for. However, I didn't enjoy ALL that time in the fade during the time spent at the Circle Of Magi. You shouldn't be in the fade that long. It's boring.

Yeah that grating music...

I remember playing through the maze and wishing the puzzles would just end (and I normally enjoy puzzles)

The Fade is not going away so Bioware should make it more fun to explore

I don't know, but I quite liked the fade and found it really interesting, both in terms of music and graphical present. I thought that Bioware hit the mark quite well on what I imagined the Fade could look like based on what was known beforehand.

Granted it looked and felt a bit weird, but that is part of what I expeceted from the Fade as one was always in the Domain of Demons and therefore "scary", "creepy" and a bit washed out (after all the spirits of the fade reform the Fade as they see fit without it ever been that solid as the real world. :)

So I can understand, if people are not quite as keen on it, due to it being very different (style wise) then other parts of the game.

The fade was ok on the first playthrough, but through the 3rd and 4rth it took all of my effort to get through it.

The Fade is my favorite part of the game. The only thing I would say is that it needed a little more interaction.

I wish you could actually loot items to bring back into the real world.

The Fade was ok.

I think it would be cool if it was more surreal and a bit wacky. Like, I'd love to walk into a room that's upside down or walk up a staircase formed from stacks of books and things like that. That would make sense to me since it's a place of dreams. And you could have big cathedrals that have faces in the walls, or a Pride Demon's lair were everything is larger than life. The list could go on and on.

The Fade definitely got real tedious after the first playthrough. Mages Asunder was my least favorite part. Running around trying to find every essence got old pretty quickly, though I think a lot of it has to do with it being solo and lacking party interaction outside of their nightmares and the sloth battle.

I liked the idea of the Fade, but visually, the actual graphic choice was very hard on the eyes. It felt like everything was out of focus and it gave me headaches. I really hope they change it.

I hated the Fade in DA:O. It just felt so pointless. None of it added to the plot at all, and it was just added to make the tower segment longer. Almost Unbearably so.

If we have to go into the Fade again in DA2, at least do it like in Awakening. In Awakening, it actually added to the plot, and it wasn't just rubbish shapeshifting puzzles.

I really didnt like the fade on my first playthrough. I think it was time consuming and was grinding a lot of it. Mind you didnt help when your level 9. I kind of got used to it in the end though

I enjoyed the asthetics and atmosphere of the Fade, although it was a little too open. Some variety in the landscape aside from floating islands would be nice.

And I could understand someone hating the Fade sequence due to the time it takes to complete it, but personally I loved it once I got into the groove of things. The puzzle-solving element was a definite plus, even if they were simple.

I would personally like to see that puzzle-solving aspect expanded upon in DA2. But it probably wouldn't be for everyone.

I didn't mind the Fade in DA:O the first time through. Once I got the hang of things, it really wasn't too bad. On subsequent playthroughs though, everything feels like a chore.

how to fix the fade? Get rid of it, or make it more like DA:A. The Fade was fine, if confusing as hell, on the first playthrough. After that, it was awful. Just grinding to get through it.

However, I didn't mind the fade so much in Awakening. At least plot was moved forward. That was what drove me so crazy in Origins -- no plot movement in the fade.

The fade should feel more like a dream. I felt like I was in a dark deminsion from hell. I agree with this a little, but I like the idea of floating islands. Just I think there should be different types of islands with different dreams. Say one with a flowing bright garden or another one with a great lake, but with a blue sky. Maybe one which is like a lava pit. Ideas the could use for lighting. The old ME 1 planets we used to explore. These would be good background types for the fade.

I loved the Fade. I think it needs to feature more prominently in future DA games.

Yeah, but being a fire spirit and a golem made you a powerful god. I liked those parts.

Yea, I was kinda put-off by the "fade" when I got to revisit it during Mages Asunder. I don't anyone can disagree that *that* particular sequence was very bleh (and if it wasn't it was on a subsequent play through...) Recently I've only been able to forgive bioware because a weird occurrence when I decapitated Flemmy's head and Morrigan *THEN* started to have a conversation with her headless mother. Good thing I got screencaps of that...
