Stating your opinion does not make you a troll. Well I have some artistic integrity, and I also make more than enough money to support myself and the people I care about without working for a corporation like EA, so no, I doubt very much I would. There are plenty of artist out there who choose not to sell out, and do just fine, Selling things directed at the knuckle dragging masses is much easier though of course (at least over the short term), and makes more sense if all you are concerned about is turning a quick buck. I'll concede that.

I woud argue if Bioware was all about making a quick buck they would make their games differently.  They still strive to make quality games while taking the realities of the market into account.

I understand your point but in this day and age it does not seem possible to make games with competitive technology without astronomical budgets.  Particularly for things like Voice Talent and so forth.

If there are plenty of artists making game with cutting edge technology in the current market I would be curious to know who these developers are.

There is nothing really to counter arguements that go to the 'OMG BIOWARE IS TEH EVIL' stuff.  Yes all Mass Effect was was pretentious conversations with boobs and sex scenes.  That was the entire game.  Riiiiiight.
