Miranda stuck Shale's broken control rod up Shepard's bum bum just to be sure.

And that's when I realized it was poor animation and not a consequence of the LP.Eag07 wrote...

Id like to see how all of you would walk after being turned into meat goo, getting zombiefied, and then not even being finished when awoken.
You know, that was *exactly* what I thought when I first saw my Femshep walk right after waking up. I assumed it was devs' intention, to show us that Shepard was through a lot, and was not entirely healed. So I kinda expected that after getting through that mess at the begining of the game we would get to meet some nice doc who would fix them legs right up. Alas... that never happened.

Why the hell not? They're planning to release a UI improvement patch from what I heard, that could be a part of it.LPPrince wrote...
ANYWAY,
I don't think they should fix it for ME2.

^That.
In ME1, they walked like normal people.
In ME2, they walked like they have sticks shoved far up their holes.

Hell, I'd even buy an 80 point alternate walking animations pack if that's what it takes
Right, like, on another helmet... They already have the old animation, just need to put it back into the game.LPPrince wrote...
Because its time better spent elsewhere.
That's not the point, though. Try going through the previous posts in here.Pocketgb wrote...

Well, how do you think you'd walk after being dead for two years?
I found Femshep's walk and run all around more immersive this time around, largey due to her being dead and having lived a rather strict military doctrine. Then again, my FemShep isn't the same as everybody else's FemShep - which overall is one of many hurdles Bioware faces when making such a rail-roaded character.
Speaking of things being shoved up people's butts... there seems to be a stick up yours. it's called a 'sense of humour', invest in one, you'll thank me later.LPPrince wrote...

I like ME1's walking animation SO much better. Felt natural.
In ME2 its just one motion. It never ends. That's why if you try to walk, its just a slow motion awkward movement.
That's one element of ME1 they DEFINITELY need to bring back.
What does this have to do with designing anything? After the change is approved, it's just a question of replacing a file, doing a smoke test, and adding a line to patch notes. They shouldn't even need to allocate an animator for this, since the animation already exists.LPPrince wrote...

Then you obviously don't design games.
Well, for me it looks a bit silly when someone can easily run around and jump over stuff in full armor with at least two guns and a rocket launcher , but then can't walk straight in an evening dress.Pocketgb wrote...
The point of the thread was to see if it was possible to replace the walking animations for a female Shepard. Everything else is just banter related to the OP's request. I was merely giving my view as to why I don't see the way Shepard walks/runs to ruin any immersion for me.
