Atm, NWN2 is uninstalled, is there any way to see if my SoZ key is valid for online play and if has been registered with Atari in the past?

So now I know 100% that I can use this key to play online and nobody else will be using it? I mean can't someone use his/her key for online play without registering with Bioware?
I also thought of registering it with Atari, but this form http://www.atari.com/gameregister does not ask for a serial key, so I guess it's not a "proper" registration and didn't bother filling the rest info.

Registering your account on-line doesn't mean someone else couldn't have already used it before sending you the disk.Lyssistr wrote...
I just did that, concurrently with your post, it registered SoZ, np at all.

Unfortunately, the only way (I believe) you can know for sure is to try install the game, and see if it wil take the key. Then try connecting to a MP game and see... this could be hit/miss depending on whether or not someone is already using the key, and playing on-line at the same time you are trying to do so.
Always a 'buyer beware' situation buying on-line in the fashion you describe.
Good luck though!

Thanks for your reply! game should accept the key, NWN2 pre-last patch Securom is disc only, so the key should work at least in principle. I'm not interested in online play, didn't play nor OC nor MotB online, so as far as practical considerations go, I'm ok if someone else has the key. What I really want to find out is if the seller scammed me or not - the game was advertised as new.
It seems there is not concise way to find out but trial and error with online play, which I didn't plan to do but now I think may log online a couple of times just for the sake of testing what happened.
You are correct that ebay is not the best place to buy games, however, amazon had SoZ at a ~ 25£ pricetag which I found a bit pricey, considering the expansion is now old and at the same time NWN2 costs 10£, MotB 6£. When I re-install NWN2 I'll give online a couple of tries just to test if the seller sent me a used game instead of a new one.
