I'm playing on the PC, version 1.03. no unofficial mods except nukenin's dogfind fix & stealing fix.
In soldier's peak, in the room where u face the Archivist and 2 Rage Demons (initially spawned), i read an article in wiki where under 'rare occasions' (i'm not sure what the conditions are to be met for this to happen) instead of the normal group of monsters being spawned, 9 undead skeletons may spawn instead. Has anyone else encountered this? i have reloaded and tried many many times, but find no alternate spawn. The skellies are supposedly capable of dropping a rare/bugged invisible shield which resembles the Warden Tower Shield (wiki).
Or maybe it is because i am doing warden's keep at level 16? Some scaling issue, that's causing no chance for the skeletons to spawn?
However, there's another point of concern to bring up; the number of enemies (rage demons) spawned in this room is variable? Initially when you enter the room, you face 1 Archivist, and 2 rage demons. As u kill off the rage demons, another 2 (minimum) to 3 (maximum) rage demons are summoned. The extra 2-3 demons will be attributed to 'no. of kills' just as normal demons. Has anyone encountered more, or less? I have reloaded this combat at least 50 times, but i never kill (total, including Archivist) LESS than 5, and never MORE than 6.
Never found this invisible shield too.
I brought this up cos i thought number of enemies per each encounter in the whole game are static, it's all deadset scripted. Am i wrong? Please correct me if i am
