I'm really looking forward to some of the upcoming DLC announcements. :)

How do you know there will be DLC, Bioware hasn't announced anything yet

Someone needs to read the thread.

I think the whole 300 thing is still applying more to the beginning of the game (or at least the part in this demo). We already know it was greatly exaggerated for effect.

Th 300 comparison was in regards to the effectiveness in which Hawke and the NPC's follow your commands.  For example, as a human noble if you were trying to fight your way through Howe's guards and the Cousland guards were in the way....your PC lost time trying to find an opening to attack.  Now in DA2 that won't be the case.

I believe it sounds like DA3 will be about the god baby.

I believe there will be a DLC for DAO about that

But there are at least 3 outcomes for Morrigan: godchild, nongodchild and no child. And Flemeth is still around, and it´s her plan. More likely for DA3 I fear.

This is just heresy, but a friend of mine who played it thought the voice acting was bad. It wouldn't mean much to me but he's well known for his impressions, humor, and general voice work not to mention he loved the voice acting in Origins. We'll see, but now I'm concerned. I wonder if the female hawke is a good actor, despite the possibility of the male actor being bad.

Dear God stop spreading rumors about  Hawke's voice. I don't think I'll be able to sleep again until I get a reveal on the male voice actor.

Hawke's voice doesn't really fit his build, in my opinion. But it's nothing too horrible. It is very neutral.

I was happy with the voice acting in the demo.  :?

Pretty much how I feel. I'm sure Hawke's tale will be fun and something different but I'd still like to continue my Warden in a new game / expansion.

Agreed! Very happy about the word 'some', indicating more than one. I may take this opportunity to squee for the very first time. Ahem. *Squee*. Ah, I feel better. :wizard:

I'm envious of the folks that got to go to ComicCon. I lived in San Diego and LA for a long, long time. So I got spoiled by being able to go when it was convenient. Looking at some of the press coverage of the games there and the masquerade. *envy envy*

(I'm looking forward to that one being announced, too, marquiseondore. It's as tough for me not to say things as it is for you guys to be in suspense.)

He said that he felt that players were mostly put off by the fact that they can’t port their character from the first game, and that the only real difference in DA2 over DA:O for roleplayers was that they can’t choose their race.

:?

I think it's more than that, and they know it. I feel kind of insulted.

Agreed, in fact not being able to port over my character isn't that upsetting I even expected it.  Don't get me wrong I grew very attatched to my main warden and his choices, and if Bioware should ever want to revisit him, well then Godspeed!  But I honestly never expected a full on sequel with the warden and all his choices, I had always assumed we would be playing a new character.

My trepidations about DA2 have nothing to do with not being able to import my character.

I love the dynasty warrior games. I never get tired of slaughtering hordes of nameless mooks with flashy exaggerated and blatantly false versions of historical people.
