I have played through origins twice so far and each time it took me about 30 hours which is a pretty good length.

O thanks god I am not the only one that was able to complete the game below 40 hours. I just don't understand how can people take 200 hours to complete one run on normal, but oh well :wizard:

man I would have been so bored if Dragon Age took me 200 hours to complete. I would have given up on it after the 30 some hour mark probably lol

Yes Dragon Age 2 will be fifty percent shooter

More importantly, will it have Fiddy in it?

I can't imagine a fifty percent shooter without him.

You glass half full folk. Shame on you.

There is also 50% more smecks, 150% more jiggle mesh, 136% more epic smecks cutscenes, 300% more hawter male romanceables, 20% more redhead wimmins, 600% more epic poses, 1000% bigger swords, 20% bigger shoulder pads and 80% more snarky responses.

From what we've heard so far, I actually expect that to be pretty accurate.

... Or was Georg just exaggerating to quell all the bellyaching about the silent protagonist ?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Keep in mind Georg was describing a game that would require 6 different PC voice-sets.  DA2 would require only 2.

If they were to give us 6, 3 per gender (and I don't think they will), then Georg's math would apply.

The optimist in me wants to think DA2 will have just as much if not more content than Origins. After all, both BG2 and ME2, BioWare's only other true sequels were both bigger than their original titles.

But the player VO eats up resources that would otherwise be going toward content creation. Origins took me about 80 hours my first time through. Sadly, I'm thinking DA2 might take 40 hours for my 1st run. With DLC and the rush to monetize every hour played, I think the days of epic 80+ hour single player non-sandbox RPGs are gone.

It will be shorter. Of that, I am assured. Fifty percent shorter? Not sure on that.

That is what I assume as well. So if they have a 17% higher budget they'd break even length-wise.

We already have a thread discussing what impact people think a fully-voiced PC will have on the game. Please take your discussion there. Thank you.

End of line.
