This happened at some point during the 2nd level of the Circle Tower (I have one save at the start of the level with the armor and one save at the end of the level where it is missing). I have neither sold nor destroyed this armor (inventory was far from full). Unfortunately, I did not notice this immediately as no one (main character or NPCs) was yet able to use this armor. I only noticed it after completing the Circle Tower and returning to the camp.

I have tried the "disable DLC/force load/save/enable DLC/reload" trick but it did not work. Furthermore, with 1.04 all pieces of the Blood Dragon armor are missing from Bodahn inventory after these steps.

As I do not want to restart from the last save with the BD Plate, I will continue without it. But if someone has any useful tips about this, please let me know. (I already checked this topic and did not find any helpful information.). FYI, I'm using the Steam version of DAO.

I have the same problem, but for me the armor is being removed right off of Sten, leaving him with nothing. I'm using the disk version of both DAO and DAOA, and it on average I have to reload about 3 saves back(normally about 2 hours of work) and would love to know how to fix this.

The same happened here with the Warden Commander Armor Set, got removed right off of Oghren too, not a nice sight, I just reloaded the same save and it reappeared.

I have also had the same thing happen to me as JackM, and (co-incidence or not), I was also in the Circle Tower when it happened, and didn't notice it until I got back to camp. Although I doubted myself at first, I know that I didn't delete the chest piece.
The DLC Blood Dragon Armour content is still accessible when I'm talking to Bohdran (sp?). I'm using the the Disc version of DAOC, so it can't be that.....
Any help would be appreciated as I'd rather not have to do the whole tower/fade over again :/

Solved

To solve, this issue you must first enable console in DAO (see http://dragonage.wik...om/wiki/Console) then install the following mods:

- Make CONSOLE commands visible (this mod will allow you to see what you type in the console)

- AddItem Script

Then launch DAO and load your save.

Open the console by pressing the appropriate key (~ by default) then type the following command:

runscript additem prm000im_dragon_blood_plate.uti 1

Et voilà! The blood dragon plate is again in your inventory.

Ok, so....that worked!

Thank you so much, I really wasn't looking forward to going through the whole tower again :D

...I'd kiss you if you weren't a beardy dwarf fellow!

This thread is half year old, but yet you have my thanks million times for this advise.

Wasn't it annoying that after spending half-day gameplay you notice that something missing in inventory?

JackM is my new best friend! This solution should maybe be added to one of the FAQs since the "force load" trick doesn't work with the latest patches.

Thank you so much! I was trying all sorts of things to get it to reappear, and finally found these clear, easy instructions.

Edit: Argggh! Even this didn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the blood dragon armor and patch for elven female, force loaded between unchecking and then rechecking the dlc, did the additem script, but no (and additem worked perfectly fine for other items). I did have the armor at the beginning of the game, but by the time I realized it was gone (since you can't equip it right away), I had played too long to want to go back to an early save. I guess King Cailan's armor is better anyway, but still... it shouldn't just disappear like that.
