Description: Alright so first off i'm just going to clarify, this isn't the dissapearing quadrants glitch, but I was a victim of that and fixed it using the new beta nvidia drivers and everything was peachy. Now when I try to play SoZ, firstly, neither the Yuan-ti or the Grey Orc character models appear at character creation, that I can live with, however the first scene, after the ship crashes and you are on the beach, this is where the game stops working, and where the enemies on the beach are invisibile, more specifically the game crashes once I get into combat with these invisible enemies, from what I can remember from my last playthrough these enemies were Yuan-Ti so I'm assuming the lack of a yuan-ti character model is related. And that's the majority of it. I've looked around elsewhere and I couldnt find any other reports of THIS bug in particular so hopefully I haven't overlooked an obvious solution.
Possible Graphics glitch in SoZ (Not the quadrant dissapearance bug)

I would suggest two issues here as a possibility, your integrated GPU may not be up to the task here...
The minimum requirement for SoZ is a n800 GPU, where n = 6, 7, 8, and 9; the first digit in those series cards generally identifies the GF version and what version of DirectX is supported. To complicate matters, you are using a laptop/notebook, based on your GPU, and while the labeling for SoZ states a minimum of 8GB free disk space, I would generally recomend about 20GB free disk space with SoZ installed.
You may be able to get it to work by turning down graphics and advanced graphics settings. For details on minimum and recommended specs, please see the Tech Support sticky topic above.

I played SoZ right when it came out with this exact setup and didn't have any issues, the OC and MotB work fine as well with the same settings, but I turned them all down to the lowest just for the heck of it and the problem still persists, I don't claim to be any sort of expert but it really seems like it's a problem with these character/enemy models because everything else functions perfectly.
Update:So I think I've solved the issue, I figured it might have to do with custom conent so I cleared out my hak folder and override folder for NWN2 and stored everything there in a separate location, and everything in the first beach scene appears to have corrected itself, however I have no idea which file(s) specifically were the issue as I have a lot of them, so if anyone else is having a similar issue this would seem a likely solution.

Yes, almost assuredly a custom content issue with the 2da files. I've run into this with my campaign when attacking a custom community content creature that was not diplaying the model because my creatures.2da file had it but not my hak.

Creatures information is stored in the appearance.2da file, this would also explain your character creation issues.
Placeables are stored in the placeable.2da file
