I thought that was Rick Astley wielding an axe. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]
haha, Rick strikes me as more of a mage type than a warrior though.

Although I'm not quite sure what the shirtless men in jeans thing was all about... ah well, watching a bit of the gameplay, even if it's in an early stage, put some of my fears to rest. It can only get better from here!
...Now I'll just have to figure out how to deal with waiting eight more months... -sniffle-

You could post a picture, that way we can all be green with envy.

I just wished they had played a clip of hawke speaking, the wait to find out who will voice him is killing me
To me he sounded similar to Calian, which Lucy_Glitter so aptly summarized as a "young adult, upper middle class, english. Deep but with a lilty accent on it".

I agree. As long as the rest of the combat is faster (that is to say, melee doesn't do the spina bifida shuffle whenever a mage or archer decides to run, helpless until the enemy stands still), it will be an aggregate gain. But the way it currently looks is a bit ridiculous.Khayness wrote...
So much for the great looking slow 2handers. By the attack speed it looks like it's been made out of paper.
Perhaps this is just the embellished combat? Has it been said that the entire game is from an embellished story, or only portions?

Sounds nice from that description.

I believe only portions...and it probably is the embellished combat. Templar teleporters with Darkspawn, while Hawke is shirtless and swings a 2 hander like its nothing..

That'll just have to be saved for the Collector's Edition DA2 Behind The Scenes DVD- tour the desks of BioWare!

Well, from what I gathered that wasn't an actual module within the game, just a test module that BioWare made for the video. I was referring to the combat animations, specifically to the JRPG-like huge weapon swing speed.Grommash94 wrote...

Who's Garret? The name is on the lower right of the screen shot. Maybe Hawke's default name?
Isn't he from Mass Effect.

You're thinking of Garrus.

This stuff is probably the opening 2D intro recapping Origins- earlier on you see Loghain and Cailan.
My thinking with the above is if you look at the staff, it seems the top figure is the new Flemeth- her staff matches up with the concept art seen here:

Then the bottom one- could it be a profile view of Morrigan with her hood up? Maybe with her wooden mage staff on her back? Then it looks as if she is looking at the moon or something. But it has the red dragon type symbol on it:

Could it be thats symbolizing the Old Gods or the OGB? Whatever it is its the same symbol seen in the wallpaper here:
