Video at long last...albeit admittedly really early stuff:

Yeah...there really isn't much going on in that video. The 2D art looks nice, I guess?

Edit: If the video on the main page doesn't work, try this:

Thanks for the links ... but neither will load for me. :(
Edit: nevermind, it's working for me now.

I'm disapointed... I loved the old avatar style with health and Mana surounding the character's picture

Why is Hawke shirtless?

Because that's video of an early build, before we had any PC armor assets in the game. We still have lots of shirtless bald characters running amok, but it's not quite at that level any more.

Please keep this as an option? :D

I dislike that I saw xbox controllers instead of a mouse and keyboard.

Did I saw Cailan in the animation ? I think that part was explaining the Origins' story.

Combat and sounds looks good even for its early stage. (Shirtless demo Ftw ! )

Every developer on the team has an Xbox development kit including the associated controller. Moreover, particularly for content-oriented disciplines, it's usually easier to iterate using the Xbox as opposed to the PC. In the case of cinematic design, for example, you can have a conversation open on your Xbox while you're working on it on the PC and fix things in 'real time', as it were.

It's a workflow thing, nothing more sinister than that ;)

That makes sense to me. I usually do multiple simultaneous iterations at work as well. Thanks.

Console combat looks action RPG.

Can we have jeans as unlockable armor, please?

I believe he stated that one of the archetypes typically teleports around the battlefield...I thought that was one of the key rules that Dragon Age wouldn't break...no teleportation?

Oh god, of course everyone's talking about how he's shirtless. Its just a dev build. You noticed he was invincible, right?

Shirtless warriors clad in nothing but jeans are always invincible.

Have you never seen Walker Texas Ranger?

Kids these days. :?

When that audio guy said that they were supporting the new artstyle by adding "a lot of metal", I was about to commit seppuku until he clarified his statement :)

Such a quick taste of a really early build but i think it should put all our fears to rest it already looks better in terms of graphics than DA:O and although the style is a little different it really doesn't look like to drastic a departure from Origins. CAN'T WAIT!

That better not be a dig against Metal the greatest musical genre there is! :P but i will agree as much as i love metal it does not belong in Dragon Age :P

My interpretation of that part was that he was just having the archetype teleport around for the time being, until it was more fleshed out.

Um... what does 'rickrolling' even mean? (maybe via pm?)

And better the early shirtless man-spiders in pants in early dev da rtp
than the hordes of naked pink man-spiders poor Mary Kirby had to fight
while testing DA O areas  (Giant Friggin' Spiders thread)

I'm rollin' that they're all shirtless and wearing jeans. Where is THIS game and when is it coming out?

All the creatures are shirtless pants-wearers right now. Fighting a bunch of shirtless men who all have the name "Poisoned Spider" over their head while they make hissing sounds is a new level of novelty, I'll give you that.

Very brief "combat" clip towards the end shows off some of the AI archetypes.

Combat
looks far less God of War than I had feared, thankfully looks more
Dragon Age-y but w/  button mashing.  Hopefully they keep it more Demon's Souls and less Bayonetta

However, Hawke is shirtless and wearing skinny jeans w/ a hipster beard fighting "orcs" - was just ... not what I wanted to see, placeholder or not <_<

The only effect that ever bothered me was a sustained one for my warrior which every few seconds a ring of light would burst out at his feet with a thrump sound and the controller would vibrate just a little.

Had a nice effect and it was fun to look at but playing over a long time being sustained I had to remove the effect for my own sanity, the constant vibration alone was maddening over a few hours ;)

Yeah, I have that ability on Justice in awakenings, I stopped using it after 30 minutes, highly annoying.  Worse than the Blood ability animations

Nope, the podcast stated that you are still able to do that.

Looks great, but looking at the build I'm sticking by my previous statement that there is no way that this is coming out March next year.
