Will there be a patch that makes mass effect one more easy?
Mass effect one too hard even on casual mode.

Planet hazards, combat in all forms, thresher maws. The game isn't fun being so difficult.

Are you experienced with 3rd person shooters/RPGs? If not, maybe that's part of the issue here. Good luck though.

Considering you seem to be one out of a thousand that has an issue with the game's difficulty on Casual, I wouldn't expect any kind of action. Seems like you just need more practice with gaming

One out of a thousand? More like one out of a million. Gaxe, if you seriously have difficulty with ME1 on casual, I suggest avoiding any shooter whatsoever.
Unless you somehow forgot to level up yourself and your team. Do so by going to the main menu and selecting "Squad" (this may sound ridiculous, but I know of one reviewer who thought the game was broken- until he realized that he could level up his squad)

I hope this is a joke. It's a far easier game than Mass Effect 2 as a whole.

What? Seriously? I thought ME was pretty normal to me, only some parts that were a little bit more difficult, but nothing tha the right strategy couldn't solve. Really, try another strategy.

Planet hazards...
On planets with environment hazards, stay in the Mako as much as you can. For lower level hazards there are special armors available in game. Called "Survivor Armor" made by Devlon Industries. Keep an eye out for it.
For other hazards like fires and exploding containers, it's just best to avoid them. Fires are easy enough to steer clear of (they're hard to miss). Containers you can deal with by shooting them before you need to get near them.
...combat in all forms...
You might want to check if you've been leveling up your character and party (it was mentioned above). If that isn't the problem, make sure you're using cover. Granted, it isn't the easiest cover mechanic to use, but it'll save your life. Also, make sure you're adding upgrades to your armor and weapons. Every weapon and armor (aside from the Geth Pulse Rifle) has slots that you can add mods to. Make sure as well that you're using weapons that your character is skilled enough to use. An assault rifle for instance isn't going to be a good choice for an Adept or Infiltrator because they don't have the proper training.
...thresher maws...
The only tips I can give for fighting thresher maws is to:
1. Stay in the Mako. They'll make short work of you if you're on foot unless you know what you're doing.
2. Keep moving. Thresher Maws have an acid spit attack that bypasses the Mako's shields. One hit from that and you're screwed.
3. Only stop on raised areas. Thresher maws can pop up from underneath you on the flat surfaces that they nest in. That will more than likely kill you instantly. Even on the casual difficulty setting.
4. Stay the hell away from them. Thresher maws have a melee attack that will instantly kill you if you get too close. The best way to avoid that is to stay at the very least about 8 lengths of the Mako away from them. You can also use the vehicle's radar to gauge the distance. If the red dot representing the maw is halfway between your vehicle's signature and the edge of the radar, you should be fine. Of course with the exception of one assignment, you can just avoid them by driving away.
There you go. Good tips.

If you're playing it as your first time manually save frequently after every firefight. The autosave only saves during cut scenes.

I can play on Casual without dying once.
That's not an accomplishment.
I think you're doing something wrong, Gaxe.

try soldier class if you die a lot. Soldier allways kicks ass in every game.
hazzards - live with it. dont come out of transport unless you really need to, and park maco right where you need to be so that you will not run.
Thresher maws - read guides how to kill them. They have weakspots and also there is a trick which makes its almost cheating
Never rush, use weapons that you are most skilled with (skill points that is, and not your gaming skills), do not forget to get best armors/weapons for you and your team every time you can, pick proper team for a mission -> if you die a lot, then take soldiers with you to give you more firepower, use more cover, try to allways have some space to fallback if it will get too hot.
When leveling (in your case) spend more points on AR and armor. So that AR will do more dmg and you will have more health.
Game is simple, especially on easy. So you just need more practice, thats it.
