We're making an NWN2 campaign loosely based on the PnP module called Pharaoh of the Desert of Desolation series, by Tracy and Laura Hickman.
Designed for a party of four characters of levels 12-15. The party should have a cleric, a fighter, a rogue, and a wizard. However, we've tried to design the module so that any character can complete all puzzles in the critical path. If you don't have a complete party, you won't be able to defeat all obstacles in this campaign.
The Campaign is divided into three modules. Module 1 is an out-of-character area to build your party. SoZ-style party guest book is enabled, and there is an NPC who can give you XP, gold, and items. Module 2 is the desert area with an Overland Map, a main quest, and numerous side quests. These are mostly outdoor areas, and some speaking skills are used (diplomacy, intimidate, bluff, etc.). Module 3 is the interior of the pyramid of Amun-re. This is mostly a dungeon crawl with lots of monsters, traps, and puzzles.
We've been working on Pharaoh Revisited for a while. We've been on a bug-hunt forever, but we see light at the end of the tunnel. We're now cleaning up some conversations and creating the Overland Map random encounters.

That sounds like a lot of work and a lot of fun, looking forward to playing this.
I would not want to spoil any surprises but I'm betting this has got mummies in it

For whatever reason, I've always loved the desert as an adventure setting. So yay!

Blimey Ocanthus, I was wondering if anyone was going to have a bash at the Desert of Desolation mods - hope you manage to get it finished OK! After my current project, I'm planning on a crack at Oasis of the white Palm - Don't have a clue about release dates as I think I'm at the same stage now on Reptile God as you were 3 months ago on this - so a fair way to go, but still aiming for release before the end of the year - then its off to the desert for me too!
Really looking forward to playing your mod!
