How many of you Manshep folks are women? Just curious. I feel like there's only a handful of us ladies that truly dig the awesomeness that is Manshep. XD

I'm curious about this, too. I know there's quite a few guys who're femshep fans. Probably more than the other way around. But if one gets to enjoy beauty and grace with a femshep career, one gets to enjoy something else with a maleshep career: strength and power, I guess. How would the rest of you guys describe the difference?

I am a woman and I have three ManSheps so far!  :3

I don't see much of a difference with the combat (except the obvious differences between playing as a soldier versus a vanguard versus an infiltrator etc).  What i notice is different character interaction, which take into account paragon/renegade differences too.  I find that in some instances, my FemSheps will respond more angrily, whereas my ManSheps respond with dry humour.  Or ManShep will be more calm whereas FemShep is a tad more emotional. [...]

Glad to hear a woman enjoying the show from the perspective of a maleshep, too (I'm a man and you have more malesheps than me!) :) As for the differences between malesheps and femsheps, you may have spotted some there. But I was thinking more about the general experience of seeing a manly figure with manly facial features in an action compared to seeing a womanly figure with womanly facial features in action. I'll demonstrate what I mean with a few pics here shortly...

Thank you for your insight and input, Brodyaha!

It's nice to see that we have females that do play ManShep.  I love Hale as a voice actress (I think she's a phenomenal voice actress), but the bolded statement is what I dislike about Hale's performance.  Every time I would choose a Paragon moment, it sounded either like she was pissed off or she was all over the place with her vocal tone (she'd go from really high to really low in her dialog).  I think she did much better in ME 1 to be honest.

Meer just made it more believable, because he was calm, kept it together and made it consistent.  He was tense when the situation required it and was relaxed when it didn't.

Anyway......well done on the ManSheps everyone!

You both have highlighted exactly why I prefer Meer's VO in these games. [...] Hale puts more emotion into her lines.  But sometimes the emotion feeling she imbues her delivery with doesn't necessarily match how I imagine my Shepard would be feeling.  Meer on the other hand, while I wouldn't say his delivery was flat, he is more emotionally neutral.  I compare this to C-3PO's facial "expression" - it's so neutral that it allows the viewer to project whatever facial expression they would expect onto it.  Meer's vocal delivery does the same thing for Shepard's voice, in my opinion...

One could also understand Meer's "neutral" VA as his way of rendering Shepard a very cool character: that he's not the kind the guy who let things upset his mental balance easily. He keeps everything at safe emotional bay to maintain his clear head in all kind of situations and thereby gain the mental edge necessary to prevail.

OK, all manshep fans out there, I think I have something for you, serving three purposes: providing material for Revenant's wallpaper project, material for defining the merit of seeing a manly figure in action (compared to the beauty and grace of seeing a womanly figure in action), and material constituting a good start on the new year for a thread of this kind. It's executed in three steps and you get to decide which pic serves what purpose. :D

Domar, you are wonderful.  This is pretty much perfect, thank you so much.  I can't wait to get started on the wallpaper.  Might take a while though, since I'm pretty new to photoshop.  Still, I'll post it here when it's done.

Also, happy new year to everyone...!

Ah I remember STDSN, that was a good one. I remember Sisko also, He was great in it. Good source for inspiration imo. :)

Im not sure I can really just pick one person that I drew inspiration from for my ManShep experience.

For me its mostly a mix of James Bond (Especially the current actor), Rambo, and Captain Kirk. Just add in some dry humor and there you have it.;P

This^^ couldent agree more:)

This is why I prefer Meer's performance. I tryed playing a little FemShep and thought she was too angry or emotional at times. Too much inflection at times. I guess I just prefer the "flat" delivery.

Also, I prefer the "cool as a cucumber" type of personality for My MaleShep when RPing. I think it suits his leadership position, and having to show a good example to the crew. To be overly angsty just dosent seem to fit someone in such a position, imo.

Me neither before. Nor how awesome Sheploo can appear. Anyone besides myself who enjoys the images above can thank Revenant for giving me the excuse to take Sheploo out with standard equipment for an experimental run a bit. :D

The lesson is: there are great shots waiting be taken by anybody willing to test the flycam mod and experiment a bit...;)

Thanks for the feedback, folks!

@Mesina - that's more like it! Most shots of other Sheps I see are portrait style pics and while these are interesting as far as characters go, I also like to see more pics of Sheps in action.

Thanks, Systemlord. I'm quite happy with how those turned out, too ;)

Peoples' comments about the N7 armor got me wondering how other types of armor compare in similar conditions. So...

Sheploo in Cerberus assault armor

Sheploo in Inferno armor

Sheploo in Kestrel armor with Capacitor helmet

So what armor would you guys wear?
