I don't know why I like the scars in ME2. They look cartoony and ridiculous. Yet I still edit the INI files to keep them permanently on.
@Merlin 47: Yeah, I find it quite funny how Grunt can't stand near two pyro's without getting burnt to a crisp, but he has no problem when it comes to being surrounded by Abominations. That charge ability has saved his life so many times, lucky baby!

The thing that bothers about the scars is NOBODY COMMENTS ON THEM!
Also. How to do you edit the INI files? I play mostly paragon yet I wouldn't mind making the scars slightly more visible.

First of all you're going to need Notepad++. Otherwise it won't work!Lizardviking wrote...

After that, I have no idea where you might go (I have the steam version of the game). I assume you might find it in the My Computer > C: >Program Files > (then maybe) Bioware > Mass Effect 2 > Biogame > Config > PC > Cooked. It should be sitting in the folder all alone. Don't forget to make a back up of of the file. To open it right click it and Edit with Notepad++.
To edit the scars look for the line that starts with "Scars=(Threshold=(X=-10,Y=-2)"
(for me it is line no. 4171), the numbers that go from _01 to _05 are the scar level, _5 being most severe. If you want to keep the scars throughout the game, keep all numbers the same, I have them at _3, which isn't too shabby. If you want to get rid of the "eye implant" effect, go to the end of the code where you'll see "HMF_Eye_EmisScars", and just change all the numbers to _01.

Okay thanks. But will this affect all my Shepards? I just want it to affect one of them.
"EDIT"
There's also 4 other lines that have "Scars=(Threshold=(X=-10,Y=-2)" right below, but instead of X=-10,Y=-2 they got diffrent numbers. Should I also change all the numbers there? Or should I just change all the numbers on the line no. 4171?

From lines 4171 to 4175. Edit the numbers that go from _05 to _01 only. So the ones you quoted should be left alone. I have no clue what they changeLizardviking wrote...

Not the God awfully written sh*t he read, but his voice acting.
Personally I wanted that voice actor of Codex or Admiral Hacket for both Male and FemShep to read it but he did fine job.

While I think that narrating perhaps isn't Meer's strongest point, I still think he did a decent job considering the material he was given.

I agree; he did decent enough. Sure, the material may have been....."sub-par".....but he still did a good job.

Meer did damn well considering the horrendous lines he was given. I feel for the guy because he will be blasted mercilessly for that comic. His saving grace is Femshep has the same trash to work with. You just know Meer and Hale had a drink after that. Ease the pain.
I don't get how so many people bash Maleshep (and Meer) for that comic.

I think it's mostly because MaleShep is getting "all the love" from Bioware/EA and FemShep is being left out in the cold, so to speak.

Aye, made all the more worse when one of the BioWare staff admits Sheploo is iconic. It certainly does draw ire from the Femshep fanbase. Although some are irrational about it.

Yeah....some can be rather irrational. We actually had a troll in this thread a page back trying to bait all of us by asking "MaleShep? What's that?"
Thankfully, no one fed the troll.
Do the FemShep fanbase have a valid argument? Of course they do! But there are some that can be a bit....irrational. And you're right - Bioware doesn't help any by saying that Sheploo is the "iconic" face of Mass Effect.

I used femshep on one playthrough. For giggles. Femshep looks hilarious with Renegade scarring.
Other than that, ManShep all the way!
