I suspect they didn't want to make multiple nominations from the same game.

Well great, some FemShep fans will rage about it.<_<

I think the biggest contenders for the award are John Marston, Tychus Findlay and Cmdr. Shepard. I doubt he'll win it, Marston's performance was brilliant! But it's always nice to see Manshep get a bit of appreciation!

I'm just glad the nominations seem more sensible than the Spike's. Both their awards for best performances were abominable.

You know, as much as I love Shep, Tychus was pretty epic win as well.  With his own trope for Audio Erotica and everything.  Yeah, Blizz's dialogue is pretty hammy, but when you run with it and just make it sound awesome, that deserves props.

Hey, not all of us FemShep fans have a massive persecution complex :P  I happen to like both MaleShep and FemShep, and I am having a blast with my current MaleShep playthrough.

You are the type of Hale fan that I adore.

Congrats to Mark Meer on the nomination! It's nice to see him getting some official recognition for his work. *waves slightly-larger-than-Ryuzaki's-flag in support of Meer*

Actually, I pictured the people here trying to one-up each other with the size of our. . . err, e-flags to the point where we'll all end up hauling around a huge banner across the forums, you and I at each end, trapping all who get in our way within its satinly folds. :P

You know it! (one of those lines that I think Meer did better than Hale in the first game)

Seriously, though, I'm really glad Meer got nominated for his work. I don't expect he'll actually win but it doesn't really matter. In fact, I don't think ME2 will win a lot of awards from the IAA, but it's fine with me. We don't want ME2 to oversaturate the market to the point that people can't stand hearing about it anymore, do we?

*has a teeny hope that Red Dead Redemption will eventually be ported to the PC*

I know, I just couldn't resist the opportunity to snark a little. The "ZOMG BioWare is out to get us and specifically us" attitude that I encounter gets a little old sometimes, and snark is my way of coping :P

Many things we seem to share.

I really hope it's ported too.

And no I don't want ME2 to start gettting too annoying in addition to be oversaturated it seems the devs get big heads wth the more awards they win. This seems to be restricted to the ME devs though. <_<

Wow.  I never thought about that.  Mostly because my male Shepard is a Spacer/War Hero, and HE never thought about that.  Just went straight for the family legacy.

If he wasn't a marine, he probably would've been a professional stuntman or something.  He's more than a little bit of an adrenaline junkie--he'd totally be the guy doing fight scenes, flung off explosive rigs, what have you, and think it's awesome when he gets a bloody nose because the actor no kidding punched him.  Of course, as N7, he gets to do that stuff for realsies ^_^
