I actually did it to showcase my HD texture mod for the Kestral armor, but it is a remarkable coincidence isn't it?Domar wrote...
I'm guessing this shot is too identical to m4walker's wallpaper image on the previous page to be deliberate, making it a remarkable coincidence, two guys thinking exactly the same thing from different directions. But it serves well to illustrate the importance of the details on a pic. You have Tali in lighter clothes where m4walker had Miranda, and you have Miranda in darker clothes where m4walker had Garrus. Somehow this makes for a background that distracts somewhat less from Sheploo, IMO. So I think I prefer your version of it.
Now, guys and gals, as time is drawing near: are you ready for TUESDAY and the OFFICIAL MANSHEP SCREENSHOT DAY?
Also, there's an official Screenshot day? I approve of this.

First time I've visited this thread and can I just say that that is the best first post of any thread I've ever seen. Comparing Shepard to Shaft is inspired. However, when I think of '60s action heroes, personally I think more of Steve McQueen. Now all we need is for Shep to drive a Mustang around the streets of San Fransisco pursuing a black Dodge Charger in ME3!
OK?

I honestly don't know, there wasn't really any thinking behind it

I find lack of Ashley/ManShep pics disturbing.
Have no fear! I will remedy this situation as I'm edging closer to my Horizon encounter!
And yes, I've been awaiting Manshep Screenshot Day for some time now! I have a few screenies that are just waiting in my Fraps folder!
@m4: That pic looks great! Has it been edited? I swear Sheploo's eyes were never that blue in the trailer...

I blame JRCHOharry for having coined that day "MANSHEP SCREENSHOT DAY". I would have picked the term "Maleshep..." (not even knowing if "Manshep" is a proper word), but I can't sidestep JRCHOharry like that. So "Manshep..." it is. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]urfubar90 wrote...
I would like to copyright the term "MANShep" but yes, there needs to be more mild chauvinism on the forums... plus the ****es know they like it
I don't see a thread like this or an event like that as chauvinistic, not even mildly: it only celebrates the particular fun playing a male hero in a great adventure like the ME series. Which is not saying that we do not like to celebrate the different fun playing a female heroine in this adventure in a place where this is appropriate, too. Far from it.
Right, regarding the upcoming TUESDAY SCREENSHOT DAY, we're all free to submit whatever pic or pics we like, of course, but it should at least be a new one, something the submitter has never published before, OK? The smallest of change is shooting the same subject/-s from a new angle as he/they stand/-s on the same spot as shown before, but that's rather lame. To create a greater sense of refreshment for the audience, we should at least find new lighting conditions for our subjects.
Anyhow, this will be my take on it.

Maybe we should also think of themes for the screenshots/pictures for the following week, too, so we have time to prepare
I prefer the term MaleShep, too btw.

I was thinking along these lines of possible themes for following tuesdays, too. We can spend the time in between discussing ideas about that.Systemlord Baal wrote...

True! And it's his fault that we're all here in the first place, too!JRCHOharry wrote...
What can I say? "Manshep" rolls off the tongue. Besides, I simply copied it from the threads OP, so we should all blame greed89!

I've had my screenshots for Screenshot Tuesday ready since Thursday. :-P
I must confess, I'm not only curious about the content of the pics we're about to see tomorrow, but also about how many submissions there will be. I suspect it will be a rather humble start as few people have heard about it, but as time goes by, that screenshot day could be...I don't know...massive. Imagine that.

That is a strange expression! Haven't seen it before. Where's this from? The expression aside, I like the mono-chromatic style of this shot. Have you edited it in some way?TS2Aggie wrote...
I was taking some screenies with one of my Sheploos the other day and I have to admit: for every derpy-looking expression (i.e. 'raepface' from his romance with Miranda), he has a bunch more than are just legitimately hilarious. Such as these:
BTW, what's this "rape-face" thing about? Can't recall having seen anything that I could interpret that way.
What a wonderful moody pic this is! Did you use Photoshop or something to get it like this? Otherwise, where's this scene from?TS2Aggie wrote...

All of your three pics have a special atmosphere, and I'm curious how you got them like that.
Yes, with Aggie first on the field, the OFFICIAL - what was it again? Oh, I see - MANSHEP SCREENSHOT DAY is on!
Took some fresh ones today, and then had difficult choosing among the alternatives. Ended up with this one:

It's Gene on a strange frequency. Click pic for option to digest the full size impression.
Show us what you got, guys!
