While playing as a Male Shep, does anyone else ignore the human males (i.e Jacob and Kaidan)? Both ME1 and ME2 i NEVER talked to either one or have them on my squad (when i can avoid it). Idk why, I just didn't feel interested in talking to them, they were too uninteresting. That's why when it came to choose Kaidan or Ashley I chose Ashley to live everytime. It just wasn't a hard choice for me.

I'm in the opposite boat, actually.  I used them more and liked them a lot better with my MaleShep for two reasons.

1) Jamie is not a biotic, and makes use of all of the biotic team members because I the player need my biotic fix.
2) I no longer have to worry about trap romances and bad romance dialogue like I did when playing FemShep.

You would not BELIEVE how much more I liked Kaidan and Jacob when I could talk to them like a normal human being instead of a cat in heat.

Also guys I really can't imagine for ManShep to be Biotic.

It looks weird to me.

Yeah you say that to Guardian's face and see what happens.

Biotic dude Shep looks awesome.

The only thing that looks weird to me is Engineer Shep male or female.

@Mesina and @Aurica - really liked to read your eloborated stories about Mario and Duke Nathan/Wylan Richard. This is a RPG, and that's what I call roleplaying! :)

What has Cerberus got to do with the Sole Survivor scenario (more than the War Hero or Ruthless scenarios)?

What's wrong with biotic malesheps (like Kaidan) or engineer characters (which are needed in every modern army)?

I didn't have the time to respond to your write up earlier about your Shepards.  I particularly like Grayson & Gene and you showed me a few things about thinking up a character background.  I always had this mentality that being the sole survivor left Shepard traumatized but I suppose thats isnt always the case.  Time to think outside the box!=]

Btw, I must add that if you & Messina has not started the write-up I might not have done so.  it was largely inspiring to know that there are others who put equally much thought into the backgrounds/motives of their own Shepards.

Cerberus was responsible for the Thresher Maws that attack Akuze and killed Shepard's squad. It might just be nitpicky, but it just kills my suspension of disbelief that Shep never once brings it up.

Anyway, with all this talk about character backgrounds, I'm thinking of "rebuilding" my Shep as a Colonist/Ruthless. I really love that combo, and I still plan to play him as a Paragon.

THIIISSSSSSSSS.  I hated this!  I love how people were like "Why do you hate Cerberus so much?"  And "Man Ash and Kaidan were such a-holes on Horizon. They need to relax about Cerberus."

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Before reaching Eden Prime in ME1 Shepard has the option (when talking to Chakwas and Leeroy Jenkins) to say something along the lines of "I don't like talking about Akuze :(". So, I guess that's why SS-Shepard didn't bring it up with TIM. Well... that's why my Shepard didn't bring it up anyhow :P

I agree, thats one of the areas that BW didn't do so well in.  I almost got killed by Cerberus in Akuze then you pull the same trick again on Kahoku's marine unit.  And i conveniently forget to bring that up.  LOL WUT?
I would be lying if my Shepard didn't have something vitriolic to say to TIM, unless... of course they conveniently wipe out that part of the memory during Lazarus Project....

The colonist / ruthless combo sounds like a perfect combo.  The Shepard who strives to do his/her best and suffered loss so great and personal that it may at times hinder his/her judgement on certain things.  Namely Batarians.

Nothing's wrong wth biotic dudes but engineer to me has to most boring playstyle ever.

Personal bias.

I had totally forgotten this thing about Cerberus being behind what happened on Akuze! I've been so busy with other projects than playing the actual game lately that this matter was pushed away to the more remote areas of my memory. But now it has awakened a bit. Isn't there as assignment related to this thing where Shepard is in position to stop the last surviving scientist behind the Akuze incident from being killed by one of the marines thought to have died there? If Shepard, especially if a paragon, lets the man kill the scientist, then that would count as a strong response or comment from him, albeit a silent one, to what happened on Akuze in my book.

So engineers don't "look weird" then - they're just boring? That's a different matter, a matter of personal bias. Fair enough.

My engineer has shotgun training, so the action gets pretty intense at times. ;)

I think I've perfected the ME2 --> ME1 conversion. Like I previously said, I'm remaking my Shep into a Colonist/Ruthless Paragon just because I find the story to be so appealing.

@ Mesina2 - He's looking good!

As for ManShep being a biotic looking weird....I think I'm with you on that one. There's nothing wrong with it (let me clarify that right now), but I think it just comes down to different play styles I think.

Glad to be of some service, Aurica. I have always liked your inputs in these forums, because they show that there's both a brain and heart behind them. So I sense a good person at your end of the line. Keep it up, my friend. ;)

As for the chances of the sole survivor being traumatized, I think the risk for that is considerably higher if you went through what happened on Mindoir, when your whole family died, especially if at a young age, when you're impressionable and have not yet learned to deal with the harsh realities of life. As a grown up soldier, it's tough to see one's squadmates bite the dust, but you're aware of the risk and prepared for things like that to happen, and every man on the force has normally signed on voluntarily for getting themselves into dangerous situations like that (hopefully in order to avert something even worse to happen). It's a different matter with civilians.

If you've made any change to your character since last time we talked about him appearing in ME1, Prince, you're more than welcome to share the details of it in that place.

I'm also starting anew with my guy, Gene. Primarily because I want to get screenshots of him from the very beginning of his career with the new display I bought a couple of months back. But from our discussion regarding personal history etc I have also found reason to adjust his looks a little to better reflect his background which I have portrayed above. If we go on with the Tuesday Screenshot Day, I might show you all what I mean then. ;)

So, I know that Sheploo is based upon a model, but ManShep's VA, Mark Meer, is HAWT.

Just saying.

Agreed. Meer is actually better looking to me than Sheploo.

Nice of you to pop in here and report where you went with that pic request. I note - a little bit to my surprise - that you chose to use the very same image as Revenant_Mortalus did for his Manshep Poster. Didn't think that pic was special in any way. Anyway, I've posted a response in that new thread of yours. Thanks for the credit. :)
