It's not about cuteness and hotness, though. Sheploo simply is far more detailed than any other custom you'll ever make.

That's generally what I do since I happen to love Sheploo. I did try my hand at making a custom maleShep the other week, though, and I quite liked him.

I always customize my Shepard, that's always one of my favorite parts of games where you can customize. Of course, after you've finished your character, you find mistakes you made that infuriate you, but it's still fun to create your own person.

You could change the "Shepard" to "Sheploo" for those of us who use the default Shepard.  Also... the N7 coloring would be nice.

the mistakes cna grow on you thogh, i  ended up obsessing over my sheps cheekbones for the first 5 hours of the game but evnetualy i grew to accept and love his flaws

Cheekbones are always the thing I fret over and regret. I would've had a perfect femshep if I hadn't made her cheeks so gaunt. So infuriating :ph34r:

I've got both.  I have one that I tried to model after myself.:pinched:  Didn't work out as planned.  I've have one in particular that I go for with my rugged type mansheps.  He usually sports a flat top, with a weeks worth of facial growth, and perhaps a scar.  I have another one that is bald and sports a gotee.  The rest of my mansheps are default, I think.

Ya'know... for those of us who don't use/don't like/don't care about Sheploo. Or prefer to use custom MSheps.

(To me, there is a distinct difference between Sheploo and Male Shepard, but YMMV)

Though I have to ask, if Mark Meer didn't voice Male Shepard, who would you pick as a second choice?

For me:
- Johnny Yong Bosch (Trigun, Devil May Cry, Transformers War For Cybertron... many other things)
- Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker in 'Clone Wars')
- Crispin Freeman (mostly anime stuff, but he's good)

Also, yeah, Bosch might be a little too youthful for Shepard (maybe he'd be better as a turian or drell), now that I think of it... still, an interesting thought IMHO
