I hope in DA2 the shape of the female bodies will be more realistic, that is all.

If they aren't, the nude better bodies mod that wll come 3 and a half days after release should fix them.

I for one would love to play an fantasy character that for once didn't have Double D's, but alas it seems the maker saw it fit to bless all the women with one size fits all.

Your thinking too small.

I'd still like to know whether there are actually unique body models per character, or if the body models are simply proportioned more "correctly" now for the various armors (and for the default unarmored model). I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the NPCs had mandatory unique armor (like Morrigan's armor, except if that was all she was allowed to wear), thus giving them permanent body types without fundamentally changing the system...

They have their own rig, now. Man-shoulders and boy-hips begone. :D

Yay!! Although sliders would be awesome... I want a lil petite Hawke!

That's not really a small thing you're asking--to have a height/weight/build slider they'd need to build a model for every single piece of armor and the robes to reflect the new character build. The amount of work and space required for that would take up quite a bit of the things that are more important, like dialogues, characters, and room for story.

All they need to do is fix the boobs, take out the female abs, and give it a little more detail. The ass is f****** nice!!

I have to say, quit complaining, i think DAO had the hottest female clothes-unequiped model out of any RPG ever, so far. Name one game that has a better one, excluding mods.

As said in another thread the body type should at least differ for each class like the rouges should be the most athletic build, mages an average build, warriors should have muscle for women in particular should look at some one like Gina Carano muscular but still very sexy

I didn't think the character models were all that bad...funky yes, those hands were the worst part. One of the first mods I used in DA:O was a hand shrinker, followed about a month later by a teeth whitening mod...though the realistic teeth color wasn't all that terrible.

I hope so. It always bothered me that female warriors would be skinny while male mages would be buff.

There was a cool mod I once saw for Oblivion that made the player character model increase in muscle mass as they character strength improved. Interesting concept really. Heck, I just hope they start including even a basic height/girth slider like Obsidian put in NWN2. It's a shame the models in DA:O don't have active scaling and it's based on set model sizes, I found it really antiquated.

Personally, I'd rather deal with one type of muscularity for men and women than be forced to have a certain body structure based on your class. It brings to mind the hulking she-beasts of Fable II. Of course they wouldn't have to go that far, but if they all have the same type of body, it's all good.

Great thing about playing on the PC is the mods to fix things like this, smaller hands, white teeth etc

Personally using the realistic bodies mod I think the females look good in the buff, granted they still run around like gorillas but when they are still they look ok.

No fantasy world is complete without big boobs and skimpy outfits, Deathstalker style.

You mean their underwear? I don't know, Oblivion, Fallout, and Fable all had better underwear than the diapers. In KotOR we had jumpsuits.

Well variety in body forms would make for added realism, just no more farmer hands on females please!

Wow.  This is great news, but it also illustrates the reason why people who play female characters would love to see screenshots and video of a female version of Hawke before the game comes out.  Giving us something to look forward to can only be a good thing.

Yes, well, the gorilla hands on women were pretty jarring. And about the breasts... as far as I'm concerned, the DAO cup size is welcome unless you give older women the magical bosom a la Wynne. That was astonishingly creepy.

A series of phsycal sliders (height, build and so on) would be very welcome, but that would be kind of an issue with the armor and clothing. A nice idea would probably be giving each class a build of their own (squishy mages, athletic rogues and big, muscular warriors), or even better making three-four different predefined physical builds that you can apply to any character.
