This is a fantasy game it does not have to be realistic! Don't tell me that in DAO the heart wasn't exposed...and in WoW women run around in underwear almost.
The armor has to look good, not like a walking trashcan...And Flemeth's armor is perfect IMO. If i wanted to play something realistic i would have played Sims...
The game might not have to be realistic, but it has to be believable, while Flemeth's armor would work for say a caster, any of the two other classes, if specced for melée, would'nt be particularly believable using it.
Yup. Besides which, nothing says "women are sex objects" like putting all male characters in believable, practical armour and putting all female characters in ridiculous sexy armour.

Provocateur is "one who provokes", not "one who is provacative"

Yeah, that's true, just depends on what they are trying to provoke I guess.
EDIT: I've probably been suckered in by ladies underpants advertising.

Well in one sense it could be provacative as you say, but it could also be broader, inciting to action kind of sense (or, given Leilani's Bard-spy thing, a reference to an Agent Provacateur?)

Well it's just a pity it wasn't any of the connotations mentioned and just a slight shading change to the Leather Armour.
To be honest though I think Dalish Armour is as revealing as it should get, anything else just detracts from a 'realistic' dark fantasy setting, for the sake of teenybopper titilation.

As said in another thread the body type should at least differ for each class like the rouges should be the most athletic build, mages an average build, warriors should have muscle for women in particular should look at some one like Gina Carano muscular but still very sexy
Personally, I'd rather deal with one type of muscularity for men and women than be forced to have a certain body structure based on your class. It brings to mind the hulking she-beasts of Fable II. Of course they wouldn't have to go that far, but if they all have the same type of body, it's all good.
Agreed, I can't stand to look at my Fable 2 character since she turned into a outside linebacker. ICK!

As for a female character using Dalish Armor, I don't see the point of it - it's nowhere near practical. That is, if the google pictures of it being a top and a leather skirt is correct. (Never used it ingame.)

Well dalish leather was not meant to be very protective. It was meant for light quick movement with some protection.
Indeed, I also thought it was just about revealing enough for Leliana as a bard, distraction is one of the bard powers.
A modest amount of flesh worls well in this regard unless we are to imagine shes going down the "Hello Boys!' road.

After all of this bashing of the male 'trash can' armor, now I'd like to see an actual trash can as a suit of armor. My weapon will be a stale loaf of bread and my shield will be a pizza box.
Well that's just mental, therefore a pre-requisite.

SO no one agrees with my path to world peace?
Nope, can't say I'd want to be immobilized in the cause of world peace. Although the "immobilized breast" thing might fix what happens when you add age, gravity, and DDs. At least its something to ponder.

I hope they fix the sitting animation too. Females sit with their legs wide open both in DA and ME. It looks... awkward.
Indeed. In ME2, I made the mistake of wearing the Kasumi dlc dress when talking to Garrus. When my femShep sat down, he could, to paraphrase Carrie Fischer, “see all the way to Florida.”
lol thats exactly what happened to me when I first noticed it. Too bad its just a dark area with nothing to see

To that end, normal clothing would be better - you don't get any real protection from the Dalish armor. Except for perhaps your selfesteem getting a +10 boost to defence.

It just gives you protection to your private parts. As Bioware is required to do this or else you know what.

I hope in DA2 the shape of the female bodies will be more realistic, that is all.
Jolly good.
Now get rid of the hyper cheesy sex scenes with underwear and we're good to go.

Some of my female friends enjoy playing fanatsy games for that very reason. You don't have to be skinny to look beautiful on the flip side you don't have to have big breast to be beautiful either, but it's not a problem if one has them. I don't feel the breast in dragon age were unrealistic. There are PLENETY of females with breast that size and even bigger. Imagine how it would make them feel to hear people saying they're unrealistic, freakishly big, awful, and so on and so fourth. An option to ajust that would help true but it would cause for more work for the devs. Pardon me for jumping off topic.
Back on topic, it seem Mr. Gaider has pretty much comfimed the females in DA2 are being well taken care of, as any lady should be

Kandid001, the scenes were optional, though there is definitely a lot of room for improvment.

There wasn't a single set of medium or heavy armor with a boob window in DA:O. The leather armor was ridiculously low cut though. It's possible to make functional armor that looks good on both genders and doesn't sacrifice utility.
And I don't play WoW.
I mainly played as a rogue, and the armor was low cut. Not to mention the dalish armor...it had like a big targed on the belly saying STAB ME.
As for the women being sex dolls (someone mentioned that)..let's dress up Morrigan with a turtleneck. What if she gets stabbed? OMG she is too sexy to cast...
I am a girl myself, i do not wear provocative stuff on the street and i am NOT asking for thongs or something in DA. Just a more feminine armor...and i really like Flemeth's but it's my opinion as i said before :Pi might just snatch it if a toolset will be provided
Look i have another example of a nice woman armor (for rogues as i love rogues):
