Red Sonja (chainmail bikini, if anyone doesn´t know) is the only character I can think of with worse armor than a dalish female, please!

She didn't fight as much as John Carter, but Dejah Thoris from Burrough's Mars stories wore less...

That's an excellent example of practical, yet sexy. I enjoy playing rogues and they tend to require armor that allows for free movement. And leather armor isn't going to provide a lot of protection from sword strikes anyway, so I don't so much mind the leather armor in the game (except how it all looks the same). But getting into warrior type armor, I like my character to be covered. I thought the heavy chainmail type looked really good on a woman. Feminine, yet practical. Getting into heavy plate made everyone look clunky and I wouldn't mind something slightly more form fitting for both sexes.

As for Morrigan, I always strip down the circle mage at the Tower of Ishal before I light the fire and give her his robe. But that's just because I don't really enjoy looking at scantily clad women.

That's not armor though, that's just clothing. I'm all for clothing looking nice though.

I was thinking maybe it was padded armor/gambeson, but it does kinda just look like a shirt.  Hard to tell, I guess.

I for one didn't mind the female model for elves. They are noticeably less busty and look smaller boned than their human and especially dwarven counterparts. It worked very well for RP purposes when I played a mage elf (still my fave play-through of all) and added to immersion because its the closest model to my own body type. It would be neat if BW could incorporate sliders for mass/bone structure like the Sims 3 but that's wishful thinking.

I'm still sad I can't play as an elf in DA2 :(

That's art from the Witcher 2 portraying Triss Merigold. She was a sorceress in the first game and doubt that's going to change in the second.

They're all the same size. Even Wynne's. But then, they're magical.

I hope in DA2 the shape of the female bodies will be more realistic, that is all.

They have their own rig, now. Man-shoulders and boy-hips begone. :D

Man-shoulders and Boy-hips, those sound like great names for a super hero and sidekick. "Holy love handles Man-shoulders, it's Budonkadonk!" "Stand back Boy-hips I'll handle this. You won't be making women look out of shape and undesirable anymore!" Pow, thud, kablam!

Hey, leave the breasts be. As long as they are not oversized.
Now, as i was saying, let's hope they get the hand size right... in DAO they WERE too big.

Just make the females look good so even the darkspawn can gawp at them.   :)

Darkspawn 1: Grunt. Snort. Look at her !!
Darkspawn 2: Grunt. Snort. I'm looking. If only i was human. :P

Just her jewels, if I recall correctly. Not that anyone in Barsoom wore properly for battle...or at all.

Just out of curiosity, why were they so... questionable, in the first place? I mean, the DAO rig isn't really anywhere near as limiting in this regard as the dev comments would make one believe: http://social.biowar...5/index/2442251 Image IPB

It's not like they weren't looking like humans to begin with, so it didn't involve changing all that much (save maybe for the dwarves)  But this is part of the point, it wasn't DAO engine specifics that caused them look they way they do, so i was rather curious why they weren't made better looking from the get-go.

Well dalish leather was not meant to be very protective. It was meant for light quick movement with some protection.

To that end, normal clothing would be better - you don't get any real protection from the Dalish armor. Except for perhaps your selfesteem getting a +10 boost to defence.

I would have liked to see the Dalish dress as described in The Stolen Throne, in colorful robes except for the hunters which wore leathers.  When I read "leathers," I don't think of a leather bikini.

For one thing, Ferelden is cold!

I actually just downloaded it :D Thank youuu! They do look different in game...they look like normal girls, not hulk-hookers

Colorful elves robes you say?

Make breast sizes different, different models for elfs, humans, dwarfs etc. Make them be different size. And shape.

But what about the insane hourglass-shape?

tmp7704's adjustments make a big difference.  In elves I notice it mainly in their arms, which are healthy looking as apposed to looking like famine victims' limbs.  They also have more feminine hands and some booty.

With HF, I notice his proportion fixes especially in the hands.  I don't mind linebacker shoulders and big boobs so much, but the man hands... eurk.

His unisex leather armors and symmetrical massive armor fixes are also outstanding.

Might I also suggest some movement when they're supposed to move?  With hair as well.  I'm sure this is probably harder to implement technically than it sounds, but surely the tech is there.

So long as it's better than it was in Bloodrayne 2, that was comical.

So the most important things: multiple shapes and sizes for breasts and JRPG bikini armor. Great. It makes me so gay thinking about my fellow fans.

EDIT

Yes, I forgot to mention jiggly jiggly mechanics. Bloodrayne style!

What have I done to this poor, innocent thread?

Jiggle mechanic isn't necessary for a game like this. And while the tech is there, devs usually get it wrong.
Unless, of course, its a game in the Street Fighter series.
