Wouldn't it be better to have an option in Character Creation to change the size of the breasts to how big or small you want them ? (females of course)

Edit: I just realised what i just said...of course that only applies to the you not the NPC's.

Well it's early here for me...i'm not quite awake. :)

You know, I think the first game worked perfectly well without boob implants. I think it worked perfectly well without trampy armor. I'd prefer for it to stay without. Jiggle physics, breast enlargement, hip...rounding: to me, it'd just feel like an attempt to "sex up" the game when it doesn't (and never did) need it.

It's not offending anybody to leave it out, but it would offend some people to put it in. And, while I understand some people would use the sliders to make petite frames for mages, or stronger frames for warriors, most would use it as free boob enhancement surgery. Which is utterly unnecessary and contributes nothing to the game except pleasing Male Gaze, while simultaneously taking zots away from things I actually care about.

just give me a height/weight/build slider thing and i'm happy

That's not really a small thing you're asking--to have a height/weight/build slider they'd need to build a model for every single piece of armor and the robes to reflect the new character build. The amount of work and space required for that would take up quite a bit of the things that are more important, like dialogues, characters, and room for story.

Do you know this or are you speculating? Honest question. NWN2 had height and width sliders, but I doubt they had to make a model for every single variation of height and width. I assumed the models were "stretchable" to an extent. Although different races did seem to have different armor models, sometimes. Is the DA engine incapable of handling that?

I'm taking this from questions on the first game as to why we weren't allowed to adjust build or body--this was the answer.

This is a really reasonable post. I think you are correct.

I am excited to see what the new character models are, but I really don't need a cup size slider.

Heaven forbid people use a game feature to have fun, even if it's a fun you don't like. And fun I'd rather them have by themselves nowhere near me, but fun none-the-less.

As for OFFENDING people, anyone who'd get offended at a video game they don't need to buy and aren't being forced to play should probably mind their own business.

if you want to do adjustment for a game, then do a full scale of everything. wat's the point of doing only selective places?

scaling breasts is not to see it bounce, but it is a way to create myself within the game realistically.
why would i want to play the witcher when all i can play is a male character that cannot be customised? Not to mention games nowadays can customise every single little details and run smoothly like a real person.

Hey i played Fable 1,  2 or 3 times. You cannot customize the character yet i had tons of fun. It's not really all about customizing the char, but when you have the option to, at least make it good looking. And as i said before, i support women in games, together with good looking armor (or clothes) and a normal body.

The only difference i really see between the premade chars and a customizeable one is that with the Warden (for emaple) i give her my own personality, i see her more as me and feel the story. With the Witcher i feel more like listening and watching his story, not mine.

I hope they fix general look when females wear armor, they look like they got put into sardines (the bigger they are the worse it gets).

Heaven forbid time and money get taken away from story and characters and dialogue, so people can stare at some big, pixel breasts. Again, you lose nothing by having it not in there.

You lose the big breasts.
Also a book can satisfy those things.

Saibh I dare say it offends me that you would like to restrict features.

It offends me that you do not want Adjustable bodies for it will give everyone what they want(counting people who want to add and not subtract things) and will make everything seem more realistic as everyone does not share the same body composition.

Restrict features? Hardly. It's not there. We've never had it, and it's exclusion didn't hurt gameplay. The bodies themselves were a little...odd looking, for females, but no one was crying out that their immersion was ruined by lack of boobs.

Putting it in there, like I said, takes away from the things that I (and most BioWare fans) actually care about. We don't need it to be in there, and like I said, it would offend some people to have its inclusion. Of all the things you can possibly request from DA2, I think this one is pretty damn frivolous, especially since it'd probably suck up a lot of juice from other areas of the game.

You *would* *like* *to* restrict features by saying it is better not to put them in.

*most of Bioware fans*

Telling you most Bioware fans are tali fans.Seriously I am not kidding its all about ME.

*not going to discuss which sold more as that does not indicate fans*

For people who want to immerse themselves like a man with huge man boobs.

Letting him customize his male to his body composition will help.

I doubt it would suck up as much juice as you think.

See, I like your argument there. "Oh, you may have a valid point that DAO sold better than ME or ME2, but I'm going to ignore it now." Number sold can indicate fan base, obviously. Especially because ME is more accessible by an outside crowd. I also see more fanwork devoted to DAO than ME.

And no. That is not restricting anything. If they said "here comes boob slider!" and then I objected, then it would be restricting. What I'm saying now is "don't add it".

Again, this is something pretty petty to ask for, considering most RPGs, even some really great looking ones, don't allow for body morph changes. I imagine it probably does take up a lot if RPGs aren't really willing to include it.

RIght because automaticly every person who buys a game automaticly counts as a fan...realisticly there is no accurate way to find out.
ALso look towards tali threads.Fan work?Have you seen the amount of fan tali artworks and so on????????

While females doing the man-walk aren't optimal, IMHO they're better than women jiggling their stuff like no tomorrow - like those seen in SW:TOR's first released female toon vids. Literally had me laughing out loud. Don't know whether that's been adjusted by now. One can only hope so.

Anyway, elves with slender hands would be higher on my personal priority list.

Check Mass Effect and Dragon Age in deviantArt and Fanfiction.net. DAO blows them away...and you can assume a certain amount of "if more people bought it, more people must like it, therefore there are more fans". I have no idea why you're invalidating that argument for any other reason than it is a valid one.

Again, if they were to add it, I wouldn't object. I'd roll my eyes, but I wouldn't object. I'm not asking for restrictions, I'm just pointing out it doesn't need to be there at all. Again, most RPGs don't have this as an option--why should this one? Save it for games like DoA.

Agreed.  No jiggly-ness - it would seriously impede my rogue's ability to behead people.

But then where do you stop? Perhaps, in addition to the booby/body slider, I would like to be able to completely customise the look of my stronghold (if there is one) - everything, from the walls and roof, to the interior decor. And what about total armour customisation - shouldn't I be able to turn a regular piece of tank plate into a bright purple chainkini if I have the in-game gold? Or vice versa (more likely, for me:happy:) And I want more shades of lipstick, and more tattoos, and more hairstyles, and I wanna completely customise the look of all my companions. And if I'm having an effect on an entire city, I want to be able to redesign that city from the ground up, dammit! Okay, so I'm exaggerating :D, but do you see my point? Loads of people would probably want loads of different things, customisation-wise, but the more of them Bio puts in, the less resources they have for stuff which is kind of integral, and the more the game turns into the Sims. While that is a franchise I've spent some time with, it is definitely not a direction in which I'd like to see Dragon Age go.

It isn't a matter of being offended by big breasts (the very idea! ), or of thinking that people shouldn't be allowed to play the way they want,  just a matter of prioritising. x
