Wouldn't a goblin pet be a pet-rock?  People usually have pets less intelligent overall than themselves, and can't get much less intelligent than a goblin ;)

Kobold sorcerers with little lizard familiars would rock though!

We've had a challenge that brought us hobbit holes and other fun stuff for the "wee folk" - how about a theme that does the same for the "other" wee folk (goblins and kobolds). Goblin and kobold huts and hovels, weapons, pets, etc.

I believe that one is already in the current poll as "Not Just Walking XP".

Ruinous Intent (aka Ruins)

Not necessarily just buildings. Could include such things as ruined pictures (or even pictures of ruins) shattered statues, despoiled books and scrolls with missing passages, tornado blasted trees etc. Inspired by this group on Pinterest.

I think that one (Ruinous Intent) could be combined with Filth. They have somewhat similar themes and together they allow more room for variety.

I was checking out other custom content challenges other modding communities host, and had Idea:

They commonly have a the topic called "a blast from the past", were you make any item from an old CCC theme.

Since we have the idea of making annual updates, perhaps an end of the year "annual update challenge" were the any of the last years topic's content is open for submissions and/or updated?

(or even any prior year should someone have a descent submission)

Would also be a great opportunity to complete works that you didn't quite get time to complete, as well...

IE, in the spirit of the old Dragon Magazine Annuals :)

As a Christmas theme it might be called "the Never's of Winters past"...

I know we have too many suggested themes already and they are not getting in list for a long time but I couldn't resist this theme.

Postapo

Not neccessarily a modern/futuristic content, might include various mutants, demons, animals, undeads, especially zombies/ghouls, radioactivity effect scripting support, ghoul/zombie/skeleton raising scripts/animations, wastelands tileset, dead trees, various twisted vegetation, various masks/goggles/other protection.

What is Postapo? From the description it sounds somewhat like the Fallout games (I am currently replaying Fallout 3 (recently got the goty version so I can fight aliens)).

Actually it doesn't have to be a radioactive effect. It could be divine/demonic or magical in origin (dark sun/4th edition forgotten realms (to an extent)). Any blasted (no I am not swearing, I'm describing :) ) area will do.

I have to agree with Tarot, with the addition of the following.

It doesn't have to be blasted (not swearing either). Just look back in time, the fall of the Roman empire might have been considered apocalyptic by the people of that time. Or even the plague that wiped out a 1/3 to 1/2 the population.

Even in our own time apocalypse can come in many variations.

For example, forgotten realms had the Spellplague, and the Dark Disaster (if you go back far enough).

Adding these to my list of possible themes:

Ruinous Intent: Not necessarily just ruined buildings. Could include such things as ruined pictures (or even pictures of ruins), shattered statues, despoiled books and scrolls with missing passages, tornado blasted trees, etc.
{ Suggested by: Tarot Redhand }

Blast from the Past: Make a single new thing that fits a past Custom Content Challenge theme.
{ Suggested by: Carcerian }

Post Apocalyptic: Not necessarily a modern/futuristic content, might include various mutants, demons, animals, undead, especially zombies/ghouls, radioactivity or weird magic effect scripting support, ghoul/zombie/skeleton raising scripts/animations, wastelands tileset, dead trees, various twisted vegetation, various masks/goggles/other protection.
{ Suggested by: Shadooow }

Something Familiar: Additions or modifications to NWN familiars. All-new familiar creatures, new behaviors, new spells that affect familiars, special items that affect familiars right when they are summoned, familiar-related quests. etc.
{ Suggested by: Shadowing2029 }

Wow. Was updating my lists of CCC themes and looked at the one for the themes used each month since this whole thing started.

The first CCC was in August 2010.  We've been making new stuff for the CCC for over 4 years now. :D

Congrats, thanks for all the stuff, and let's keep making more new stuff for this game! B)

Now, while Elemental Planes Stuff is my precious child I blatantly vote for every single month in the hope it ends up coming in so I can dump my massive source of elemental inspiration images, here's a new one seeing as themed stuff seems to be popular

Magic: The Gathering

Know that Phyrexian Negator model? He's from MtG! Along with quite a few other things. Go for critters inspired by MtG

Ok, ok, next month I will add my vote to yours, and maybe some others will agree to help you get your Elemental Planes stuff going!  Not that I can add to that sort of challenge, heck, I can't seem to get 3dsmax working at all anymore.... :wacko:

At present the votes look to be getting watered down too much. I wonder if it might help to shorten the current list of candidates and tighten the criteria for proposals to survive from month to month? Perhaps just have a list of 8 candidates and boot off one or two of the entries with the month's lowest vote totals.

The fat hat a topic don't receives too much votes, in a month, doesn't means necessarily that such topic is not liked by people, usually just means that people prefer another for the current month. And this is in part because voting results can be seen when the pool is still open; So most people tent to vote to the topics which are on the top, and seem to have more possibilities to be chosen. Personally I think that would be better that results wouldn't be seeing until the pool would be closed. then the votes would be more honest, and people would vote whatever topic they truly would think that are better or they would be more pleased with them.

Yes, the current system suffers from low Pareto efficiency. Allowing each person multiple votes would help alleviate that problem.

Alternative Vote is a fair and simple method. Voters rank candidates in order of preference, votes from the least popular candidate transfer to the next preference, repeat until there's a winner. No one seems to know of a Drupal package that does this. I've written this program in the distant past, so I could provide pseudocode if someone knows how to program the new vault.

Approval voting is both easier to implement and to use--several scientific associations employ it.

Baldur's Gate Series

Content from the beloved games of the past, be it the Baldur's Gate Series, the Icewind Dale Series or Planescape: Torment. Help recreate some of the nostalgic flair of the incredible artwork of the best RPG game that captured our imagination for hours on end.

If you want "Icewind Dale" games and "Planescape Torment" too, in the topic; maybe you should call it "Infinity series", because all of those games use the infinity graphic engine...

BTW I love those games too.
