Hey all,

I was just thinking --  the toolset comes with the ability to create your own cinematics -yes?  Well then... all that really stops me from actually creating a 'Dragon Age' machinima style animated series is my current lack of knowledge for using the toolset...

For anyone who may have had a chance or knows anything about the toolset and played around with the cinematic creator... how is it done? How capable is it? What's the learning curve like?

...who would watch a Dragon Age series? Posted Image

This is the first thing I plan to play with aside from the game itself. I have plenty of machinima ideas but as you say, will need to learn the tools first.

If your serious about making a DA series though, let me know, i'd love to help.

The cutscene editor is tremendously powerful. I would assume many fine machinima projects will come out of this. It takes a bit of practice to learn about all the features but you can do a lot of very neat things with it. Have a gander at the tutorial link that Eoweth has been provided and join the Dragon Age Toolset Cutscene Creators Guild group if you wish.

So, it mentions generating voiceovers itself. If a project lacks voice actors is the generator itself passable enough to be used in the final product?

Well it will do lip syncing but no the fake voice would be worse than no voice at all. Would be better to have no vice and lip sync or no voice and no lip sync
