Has anyone successfully set up DA Toolset on a network? I imagine you would just need to host the database on a server instead of your local machine and then point the toolset to it, but before I try to set that up and most likely fail numerous times, I'd like to know if anyone has done it already.

It seems like it would be very useful when working on a mod with multiple people as everyone would be synced to the same resources. Plus the database files are so small that it would still be pretty fast even outside of a LAN.

BioWare has done it. :)--> This has been brought up before and been talked about but not sure if anyone in the modding community has taken a crack at it. I agree if someone went to the effort to make sure all of his or her team knew all the do's and don'ts it would be the most efficient way to co-op a mod I would guess.

The obvious risk is that everyone has access to the database files, and accidental changes/deletion could be a problem, but with some daily automatic backup that risk could be greatly reduced.

This is probably not really worth the effort unless you have a fairly large team though.

Well the 'check in' and 'check out' bit is supposed to help prevent the risks you speak of. I agree with you, a larger team and it's probably a decent idea.

There should be a thread somewhere here that shows how to do it; at least I think I remember someone posting that kind of information.
