Okay, so are the choices reflected in this latest book going to OVERRIDE my saved games? No?

Then I don't give a rat's derriere. My Shepards are my Shepards, I shall not want.

This is pretty much my stance unless they come out and say this changes retroactively what you did then I am not too concerned.

As for choice, these games have far more choices then any other game on the market, even if it is "just" an illusion they still far surpass most games of this type, period.

Well to be fair, I haven't gotten all the way through the book yet but so far Anderson has quit his job so he could help Kahlee so unless the book ends with everyone lives happily ever after and everyone gets there jobs back, we might all be seeing Councillor Udina in ME3.

OMG you RETCONED the title of that book, you must be a BioWare writer!  lol I'm sorry I couldn't help myself.

He will be shot by me in the face, and I am not normally a violent person.

I am still not going to freak out.

Kind of had to happen.

As long as the MAIN thrust of the story is personal, it's all right.

nice, elegant way to reduce things to one common situation

at least it's better than killing Shepard

If Anderson thinks he can do more good playing hero then go for it, that man has my Shepard's respect.

I'm not upset over this, but an answer from BioWare would be nice. Though I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. And what's that about Shepard saving the Collectors station statement? Is that true?

I really can't see them saying we didn't really blow up the station I could see them saying that something was salvaged possibly?

Well for those of us who decided to nuke the station.

I get the feeling this book will have to be taken with a grain of salt that some events had to be assumed to make things work, but those assumptions will be different for individual Shepards.

Again still too early to tell.

The Collector base situation is still sort of a vague decision in the books.  I mean TIM got his hands on Reaper nanotechnology that supposedly came form the Collectors but that doesn't necessarily mean he got it from their base.  He could have gotten it from any sort of Collector specimen that might have been collected.

And for me Default/Standard/Stock pre fab choices = Default, not canon :P

Default = Bioware's idea of what choices were made

Bioware's idea of what choices were made = Canon

I don't understand why this matters so much to people.  It doesn't effect your own enjoyment of the games does it?? If it's not the choice that YOUR shepard made, so what?

Default = eliminating characters that have no impact on ME 2 because new players wouldn't know who they were

default =/= canon

Thus establishing a canon.

In 5 years time if someone read up on the storyline of the original ME trilogy, bioware's decisions throughout ME1, ME2, and ME3 would take primacy.

Your Shepards decisions are your shepards decisions.
My shepards decisions are my shepards decisions.

If you don't have a Shepard, here, have a canon/default storyline.

If you don't have a Shepard you didn't play any of the games

Thats right, so here's the default/canonical storyline for your perusal.

But that limits the storyline and it is less science fiction in a galaxy as it is taking place in a room so to speak
