...the narrative ends say, 2/3 of the way through and the finale is all out carnage...

If I had to guess, I'd say this.

This would be my guess as well.

I haven't considered this possibilty, but I have to admit that it sounds like a good enough twist.

I do want the Varric/Cassandra narrative to end with a plottwist similar to the one in either The Usual Suspects or Splinter Cell: Conviction, though.

In the sequel maybe.

Since Hawke's story spans 10 years we'll probably be playing a new character in the sequel, hopefuly an elf or a dwarf

Hopefuly not. Being made to play as a human is bad but I think being forced to play only a dwarf of elf would be 10 times as bad.

So you don't like playing as a Human, or an Elf, OR Dwarf. So what do you play as?
EDIT: Answer: Geth.

Will it translate that the flashback style narrative ends say, 2/3 of the way through and the finale is all out carnage?, or will it be set up for a sequel?

I actually believe we will see something like this.  Hawke will arrive in the present at the end of the narrative and play out the scenario his/her choices have set up.  I think it would be very effective.  Note that the finale does not have to be "all out carnage"; it is likely there will be some alternative endings (if this is done).

My post did make it seem like I hated all three races.

I'm saying: If you thought the outcry for being forced to play as only a human was bad, it would probably be worse if they did the same with dwarves and elves.

Sounds like Prototype.Although Prototype had a twist I should have saw coming.

Well I thought we would probably end up fighting the Chantry, this looks more likely now that we have seen a development video where one of the adversaries Hawke if fighting is titled 'Chantry Seeker'.

It would be intense if it were actually 2/3 until the end of the game. Or actually fighting on the front lines of the civil war? Damn.. It would suck if we only got part way through the story when the game ended. It's like Morrigan leaving all over again. Tear.
