My main character gets item set bonuses when wearing matched sets of armor. When I put the same matched set of armor on another character (e.g., Allistair), the bonuses don't appear. In fact, all of my party members are wearing matched sets right now, but only my main character is getting any bonus for it. Is this a bug, or working as intended?
Thanks.

It's been working for me- are you using all three, the chest, feet, and hands? Hope you get your bonuses, they're pretty clutch

I'm not having this issue, but is there a place to see what the item bonuses actually are and what they do? I've noticed that my characters fatigue drops significantly while the item bonus is applied.

It depends on the set. You can use the inspect command to get a hint of the set bonus. For example Blood Dragon armor has ~+3 armor and +1 def item set bonus. Dragonbone plate on the other hand has smaller stamina drain when using abilities.

I noticed the set bonus on Alistair only appeared the next time I logged on.

I have noticed myself that after certain points in the game after a cut scene or loading into a zone sometimes my set bonus vanishes and I have to remove an item and put it back on to get it.

SIgh ... this is what I was afraid of. It is a bug, and not one I seem able to fix easily. I've logged out and logged in again a few times ... nothing. I've taken armor off and put it back on characters ... nothing. Just to make sure, I've put sets of armor on my main character to confirm that an item set bonus is associated with that set of armor. Then I put the exact same set of armor on Allistair or another character and ... nothing. It's not just a display bug either -- the bonuses to fatigue that should be associated with a set of heavy chainmail, for example, work correctly for my main character but are completely missing when the same set goes on Allistair.
If anyone else has had this problem and has found any way of fixing it, I'd greatly appreciate pointers.

I'm in the same boat as Verian and I've tried the same things to get the bonus set to work but no luck so far. I have noticed that recently acquired armor sets do work for a while on party members but I'll check back later and they've disappeared. It's very frustrating especially when trying to trick out your team with dragonbone/drakescale sets (the stamina system in this game is my least favorite feature and those stamina set bonuses can be crucial).
Ah well, here's hoping for this to be fixed in a future patch.

Ok, I played around with this a little more and here's what I came up with.
If you are in your home camp, you will not see your party's item set bonuses but you will see them for your own character. I'm guessing this is because nobody is actually in your party when you are in camp <shrug>.
Once you take a party to a world location you may need to remove one piece of the set and replace it again to see the set bonuses take effect. I've no idea if this is a dispay error or not (bonus was active but the icon was missing).
This seems related to some group buff weirdness I've noticed. If a party member activates a group buff (frost weapons for example) and then there is a change in the party or a death in the party, the new (or recently resurected) party member will not be getting the the buff even though the buffer has not stopped "concentrating" on keeping it active. In this case you must cancel the group buff and re-apply it.

might i ask if those with problems are on a console? I ask becasue I have never had a problem with the set bonuses on any of the npcs in my party so i wondered if perhaps there is a buy in the console versions of the game? I know that is one of the first things tech support wil ask as well. Then is youversion a download and if so from where or a disk version.

It works for me EXCEPT occasionally i open the inventory interface and the set bonus is not working and i have to un-equip and re-equip one piece of the set to make it work again.

I've noticed this happening and also weapons runes not activating. Sometimes the game seems to forget about this stuff it seems. A quick fix is press the / key twice for each character. That seems to refresh the runes and armor set bonuses.
