Yeah, I know that, by "books" I meant the latest one - Retribution. No fancy fights at all. Karpyshin didn't even mention the heatsinks that were "forced" by weapon manufacturers to increase weapon performance.

Yes, he did. With Anderson on the Cerberus base he changes heat clips.

1) Why is Paul risking his life and location, and Kahlee's life, by
sending messages to someone he only met 3 times in his life? He claims
it's because being close to Kahlee is like being close to his daughter,
but I don't buy it.

2) How come Cerberus isn't tracking Kahlee's
messages to find Grayson? Because Aria was able to find out Grayson was
sending messages to Kahlee by scanning his terminal, and that terminal
was FUBAR.

3) Why isn't Cerberus spying on Kahlee in case she got in contact with him? I know he told Grayson he'd leave her alone, but that doesn't mean he can't read her messages.

4) Why does Kahlee want him to come to the school when he's on the run from dangerous men?


Also can someone answer these questions for me:

1) What were the Reapers trying to learn at Grissom Academy?

2) How come there were no security cameras inside or outside Grayson apartment to tell Aria what happened? Or to confirm Cerberus already took him?

Anyways, if they did bond, Drew should have showed it within chapters, or have Kahlee explain it. She even says, "Grayson wasn't exactly a friend" yet she cries and talks to his corpse.

This book is lacking lots of character development, and keep skipping to events and situations, as if life was on speed. And character development shouldn't be taken from speculation.

Besides being a badass, a racist, and loyal to Cerberus, we don't know anything about him. How about Orinia? Know anything about her to remember? Or hell, do any of these characters grow or change besides Grayson?

I'm more interested in what this puts on the table re: Mass Effect 3.

1) We get Kai Leng as a probable 'Dragon' type villain/foil.

2) Anderson is both removed from his political position and shown as a man still able to fight quite well (and former N7 graduate). Anderson as squadmate?

3) The Turians press a reset button on Cerberus, making sure that whatever the setup for ME3, Cerberus won't be at their peak power in the beginning.

Anything else? I think we should start to expect a cameo from Kahlee at some point, but that's all I was able to pick up from the book...

I would add that Anderson and Kahlee now have Grayson's body and plan to take it apart to try and discern anything useful from it that can be used against the Reapers. Since as of right now, we have no way to stop an enormous fleet of AI Dreadnoughts that are on their way to kick the Milky Way's ass.

I agree with Kahlee possibly showing up in ME3 since she joins Anderson at the Citadel.

Also, LOL at the Turians messing with Cerberus. Serves them right.

Yes, they were. They could of killed her, too. The girl could kill a man with a flick of her wrist and throw heavy cranes at people. Now I understand that she could eventually do that, but do you think Cerberus would not use that power to fight if they could? They were going to take away what little humanity she had and the chance to gain happiness in her life.

No they weren't and the seizures she went through were the result of pure research. In time safer drugs could have been developed but somebody needs to try them out first.

.......... .....WTH.......She almost died. Heck, we have a character in the seris that came from a project that was killing biotics left and right to try to bring out their potental.

The Patriarch himself says she killed half his men, do you really believe that's all there is to it?

I am sorry, but I really could give a crap about her and her daughter. As for Gillian, there is no certainty the drugs were responsible for her continuing to be autistic. Sanders THINKS it might because of them, but Sanders also thinks it might because of the isolated environment, and from what I know about autism I think the latter is quite likely.
