One (of the many) thing(s) I hated about Mass Effect 2 was that your companions were now limited to their default outfits, some of which were extremely cheesy or campy, or just unpractical in the extreme (Miranda and Jack come to mind).

Hopefully we can:

a) still customize the armor and other gear of our companions (that also changes how they look in the game)
B) still customize how Hawke looks (facial features etc)

I admit, B) seems to be an obvious "yes", but I haven't seen it mentioned yet. Perhaps I just haven't read enough of these preview articles?

Yup you can still customize Hawke for sure.

Not sure about companions.

Not only is it logical to assume you can customize him without any confirmation simply based on past games in this series/from Bioware; it also makes sense in the context of how the story is told.

Our adventure is being narrated by two other characters, so the events in the game are open to interpretation. Having Hawke posses different appearances logically follows this sort of story telling. One recitation of events gives him a strong brow and rage filled eyes, another gives him war torn scars. This is how oral traditions go.

Yes, well, "everyone" was also certain that you could still put armor on your squaddies in ME2, before the ugly truth was revealed... "Why would they remove something like that"?

Why indeed? Let's hope you are indeed correct, and customization of both Hawke and the companions is still a part of Dragon Age.

It's been confirmed that you can customize Hawke. I'm almost sure of that.
