Note: changing topic to general speculation on Hawke's family background


I was looking around the Dragon Age wiki, when I came accross something..


Wynne admits to Alistair that she occasionally sought the "company" of other mages and she bore one son out of wedlock while a member of the Circle. According to her, the child was taken from her by the Chantry and she was too weak from the birthing process to stop them at that point. Wynne still thinks about her son all the time.

Now, I do not remember this happening in my playthrough, but it does cause me to speculate. Could Hawke possibly be the offspring of Wynne? Unfortunately, it does say "son," but it would make an interesting character to add to the team, at the very least.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hawke's family had a relationship to some of the other character's in the DA universe. The important characters tend to have connections in game. Alistair was a bastard, Flemeth and Morrigan drama, Oghren and the Paragon lady...

If Hawke is Wynne's kid I might not buy this game, I hate Wynne so much it would ruin it for me.

I love Wynne, but it doesn't seem likely, given that a gender is mentioned.

Hawke is not Wynne's son, granted I cannot assure that, but it's highly unlikley.
