First let me clarify that this is NOT a thread asking for closure for our wardens in the form of Dragon Age 3 or DLC ect but it is a thread allowing the fans to create their own ending for their warden.

Now I know a lot of you were hoping for DLC that explains what happens to the Warden or even Dragon Age 3 will put you back in the shoes of your Warden but I really dont think this needs to be done. I feel that the end of the Warden's story is best left to the imagination, so tell me how does your Warden's story end?

First off this doesnt have to be an accurate representation of the information in game, your Warden can meet up with Morrigan if you so wish even if David Gaider has other plans for her, it is purely up to the imagination of the individual. Secondly, it doesnt have to go into great detail, it can be just a short and sweet summary that explains what happens to your warden after the blight or awakening if you so wish.

To get the ball rolling I shall tell you of mine, Edgar Cousland.

After the blight Queen Anora and her prince consort Edgar sat down to rule Ferelden, however unhappy with constantly being in Anora's shadow Edgar plotted in secret many assassination attempts on the life of the queen in the hopes that he could one day crown himself King of Ferelden. Unfortunately for Edgar all of the assassination attempts failed miserably and the second of which even resulted in his secret lover Zevran, who he hired to perform the deed being caught and executed. 28 long and bitter years of being married to Anora later Edgar finally died of the taint a miserable and broken man.

That was mine, nothing special however I would like to hear yours.

Edit: I must note that it was very tempting to rip off the ending to the first series of Blackadder since Edgar was heavily inspired by Edmund (he even had a nickname, the Black Dagger of Ferelen), at first I was trying to make my human noble look fairly inbred as a mockery of the brittish royal family (mostly prince charles) but then I realised that the character I was trying to create was very much in essence very similar to Rowan Atkinson's portrayal of Prince Edmund so I made my character a tribute instead.

Caspio Cousland got kidnapped by dragon cultists and was forced to drink dragon blood. Being a friggind demigod from Awakening, he easily killed the level 3 cultists with a peons plight. After that, Caspio managed to capture a baby dragon and nursed it back to health for years as he returned to Weisshaupt to continue Grey Wardening. When he heard that DA2 was being made with Hawke as the protagonist, he managed to find a powerful apostate and used a lot of lyrium for the mage to make a time portal, which took Caspio and pet Dragon to Lothering pre-blitz, where he found Hawke and killed him, preventing DA2 from being made. After waiting until the Blight was over, he managed to find the story of DA2 and managed to serve as the new protagonist of DA2. Due to Caspio's actions, Bioware announced that the Warden would be the protagonist of DA2, no dialouge wheels would be made, the Free Marches are the new location, Flemeth dies again, we find Morrigan, and we become king of Thedas.

My Aedan Cousland was a moral and pious character who was seduced by Morrigan and convinced to do something that he would normally have viewed as blasphemy-- the dark ritual. After killing the Architect in Awakening, he resigned as a Warden and went off in search of Morrigan, but never found her and died alone of darkspawn corruption.

Grim, I know. That's just the logical end I see for that character.

Grey Warden Alim knew that his end was near. He came all this way, gathered an army; but for what? No. He would not allow himself to think that way. The Blight would end here. He slaughtered row after row of darkspawn, plunging through Fort Drakon. He could sense the Archdemon better and better with every step he took, until its presence was almost unbearable.

Alim realised that they had made it to the top of Fort Drakon. He took a breath and nodded to Alistair. Alistair didn't nod back. Was he still upset about being crowned King? Alim could not worry about such matters now. He charged and rammed his blade into the Archdemon's neck.

***

After what felt like days of fighting, Alim roared and thrusted his blade into the Archdemon's head. He then immediately casted a shock spell right into the creature body, causing it to make one last cry, and fall over. But it was not the end. A Grey Warden still had to take the final blow. Before Alim could say anything, Alistair offered to do it; to take the burden of the sacrifice away from him. It was tempting, but in the end, Alim knew that he had to do it. Their entire journey came down to this.

Alim apologized to Alistair. With one last glance at his dear Leliana and his wise mentor Wynne, he grabbed his sword and ran at the Archdemon. He took a breath and jammed the blade right into its heart.

*cue "This is War"

I really couldn't say. The whole Morrigan/God Baby thing is just too wide open, and I'm not such a fatalist that I'd say he just searches fruitlessly for the rest of his life. I mean how depressing is that?

No, I trust that BioWare will conclude that story somehow, in one form or another. I'll leave it to the real storytellers.

My Warden's story isn't over yet, though what happened after DA:O? My City Elf - Terra - never wanted to be a Grey Warden and after the ceremonies and some quick goodbyes to her friends she slipped out of the city with Leliana and Zevran. Meeting up with Zevran's captain friend they took an interesting journey to Orlais, which Terra had been dying to see ever since Leliana described it to her. There they got into all sorts of roguish trouble and unintentionally sucked into a few adventures.

When things got too hot for them they slipped out and headed back to Ferelden intending on dropping in on some friends. There they got caught up in the events which led to Awakening. After she ended the threat of the Architect and the Mother, she left again to spend some much needed rest with Leliana. The two of them spent some time traveling in fairly low profile, entertaining at bars and meddling in the occasional local issues when Terra couldn't ignore the protective instincts being a Warden had nurtured in her.

Eventually they would meet up with Zevran again - half by design and half by chance - and last I heard of them the three were talking of going to Antiva to address some lingering issues with Zev's past and the price on his head. Whether they ever went it is hard to say ... guess the next couple games will shed some light on that.

Also, good T.S. Eliot reference. Glad to see I'm not the only moderately cultured person here.

Kimarous Surana dedicated himself strongly to the order. While he was a charismatic leader, forming deep friendships with his companions, he also could make the tough decisions. Kimarous chose to recruit Loghain into his group, infuriating Alistair; he agreed to wed Anora and become king, but never again would Maric's son fight at the Warden's side. Kimarous lost yet another companion just before the final battle... the witch Morrigan, who offered the Wardens a way out via a dark ritual to preserve the Old God's soul. Kimarous refused this, believing it would ultimately result in an extra Blight, and so Morrigan vanished. Ultimately, it was Loghain who made the sacrifice to slay the Archdemon, redeeming his earlier actions. Alistair forgave Kimarous afterwards, but given his kingly duties, Kimarous remained as the last Fereldan Warden.

Kimarous, dedicated as he was, helped rebuild the order to combat the remaining hordes of darkspawn, now under the rule of two self-aware entities, the Mother and the Architect. While the Architect offered to work alongside the Wardens, making the darkspawn sapient to resist the call of the Old Gods, Kimarous refused to cooperate; in his eyes, it was worse for the darkspawn to have their own minds than for the last two Blights to eventually happen. Kimarous chose to slay both entities, saving Fereldan once again.

As time passed, however, Kimarous's dedication to the Wardens waned. The darkspawn were far less of a threat than they had been and would not be so again in his lifetime. Weary from saving his country twice, Kimarous stepped down from being Commander of the Grey and instead chose to live peacefully with his beloved, the bard Leliana. In time, however, he felt the corruption brewing within; it was time for his Calling. With his many friends sending him off, Kimarous travelled into the Deep Roads, Leliana choosing to join him despite his objections. Amid magical storms of fire, lightning, ice, and enthropic clouds, Kimarous and Leliana perished together, slaying many darkspawn in the process.

I've finished the game four times, but my first Warden, after Awakening...

Aleyna Cousland returned to Denerim a year and a day after her mysterious disappearance, and the people of Ferelden never knew where their queen had been in that time. Some said she'd gone chasing after the notorious witch Morrigan in Orlais. Others said that she'd been all the way to Weisshaupt on some secret Warden mission. A few whispered that she'd gone to Antiva to dally with the famed assassin Zevran Aranai. Those closest to her suspected that she had been trying to find a magical cure for the infertility that afflicted her.

If so, she had not found one - Aleyna never bore Alistair an heir, and in time it became clear that the Theirin line would be truly extinguished with his passing. Alistair refused to put his queen aside and take another wife, to the frustration of many among the Ferelden nobility. However, with decades to prepare, the monarchs did their best to ensure that there was a clear line of succession. It was made known that they wished the throne to pass to the Cousland family through Aleya's nieces and nephews, Fergus Cousland having.remarried by this time to carry on the family name. This was not a choice that everyone approved of, and it caused much disagreement among the Arls and Banns.

This was not the only controversy during the last Theirin reign. Queen Aleyna's insistence on the granting of a homeland to the Dalish elves did not please all, especially when so many humans had been displaced by the Blight and the civil war. Even more outrageously, she made both Elder Valendrian and the mage Wynne court advisers - the first time in living memory that elves and magic users had served the monarchs officially.

Although daily control of the Grey Wardens at Vigil's Keep was placed in the hands of others after the defeat of the Mother, both Alistiar and Aleyna kept a close eye on Amaranthine in the following years. The Wardens' numbers in Ferelden grew steadily under their watch.

Aleyena's faithful Mabari lived to an impressive old age. Whenever she left her husband's side, Aleyna gave her hound strict instructions to keep a close eye on him and not allow the kingdom to be burned down in her absence. He was the founder of a whole dynasty of Ferelden warhounds, and many an Ash Warrior boasted possession of a beast descended from his line.

Eventually, King Alistair began to suffer the effects of the Calling. While her own time might have stretched a few months or years longer, Aleyna would not leave her husband's side this time, and they walked into the Deep Roads together. What happened there is the subject of song and story, but no more is truly known of them.

Noel Cousland after giving up Alistair to Anora for the sake of Ferelden as well as saving it, heads to Par Vollen with Sten and Zevran in which the Tal'Vashoth and Tevinter attack occurs. And of course she has to help whether the Qunari want her to or not. Then Awakening happens and then she gets robbed by the crow apparently after that she heads Nevarra just because she would like to go somewhere nice for once

My Elissa Cousland convinced Alistair to do the dark ritual, she slayed the archdemon, thus ending the blight. After saying goodbye to all of her companions she planned on living happily ever after with her king/husband but instead got shipped off to Amaranthine. Things were in such a disarray in the village that the poor woman had a nervous break down and was unable to even detect traps. To make matters worse, she lost all of her things in the Silverite mines and there she remains until patch 1.04.

:crying: That was lovely. Sadly my imaginations isn't great but along that sort of line. I would feel that my PC would also go with her husband Alistair. I certainly would!

With my DE, I kinda think it would go along the line of just travelling with Zevran and when going for the calling meet up with Alistair and in my mind, I think Zevran would go with her for their last amazing adventure.

I wish i was mor:(e creative, I can visualise it in my head but my writing skills aren't great...

After slaying the arch-demon (Well Alastair did) and Letting the Architect escape , with the hope of ceasing the Blight for good.....She decided to relax, with her love Leliana. One day while resting in the castle in Highever , A man came in... he wanted to challenge the so-called "Hero of Ferelden" to a duel
Madison, being the brave soul she was, she accepted.... The man drew his sword... tripped the brave woman and stabbed her through the chest.... Leliana rushed over to her wifes dead body
And started crying... Then as the teryn rushed in... the man shouted, " I am the true hero of these lands! I AM HAWKE!"

Arthur Cousland walked away after slaying the Architect and Broodmother, discovered penecillan and cured himself of the taint, went on to invent a machine called the Temporal Beard Awesomiser Deed Pole Name Changer Device and entered DA2.
