Happy to be able to play my warden again, but sorry not to have the old companions by my side. I'm not sure why all the requests to get new DLCs with the old companions aren't listened, I guess there are good reasons but still... My warden romanced Zevran, renounced to other rewards just to be by his side, and I would like to have a hint that she still is with him. And I'm sure other players feel the same about their own romances (a Morrigan DLC has been claimed many times and you don't need to have performed the DR to want to go chasing her, after all).

This sounds great. Playing my Warden again is what it's all about for me. Good job BioWare. Also good to hear that it will be a challenge.

I think (and this is a guess) that the expansion that almost everyone wants as closure for your Warden will come out this holiday season. It just makes sense. BioWare does not have any major projects (that I know of) set for the holiday season so a major expansion that closes out your Warden's story right before DA/2 comes out would be logical. It also gives BioWare a piece of the holiday pie so to speak.

question:

what time will the dlc happen? after DA1 and Awakening? Will there be companions who we already know?

They might have their hands full with DA2 as it is, much less having enough time to pull out an expansion.

As has been confirmed by our Bioware contacts, there is more than one development team. There is a team dedicated to patches, several teams doing DLC's and one team dedicated to DA2. So, the advent of DA2 will have no impact on the development and release of DLC's.

Awakening occurs 6 months after the end of Origins.  This GoA DLC takes place after Awakening.  How long after Awakening, we don't know for sure.  Image IPB

We don't get any of our old companions in GoA.  All we've heard is that we get a Dwarf, his pet Bronto and a Golem (not Shale).  Image IPB

Ill take a peek certainly interests me more than darkspawn chron. Hopefully we will get to see some new areas instead of recyled mix of kal hirol, the thaigs and the deep road caversn weve already seen a hundred times.... That was my mine gripe with lelianas dlc even the "canyons" the cliff face end zone and the beach were recycled from origins or awakening

I won't buy any new DLC, considering I can't play what I have already bought because the DRM in this game simply doesn't work well. When you don't expect it, the protection decides you're no longer a legit user and delete everything from your savegames. I have started this game 2 times vecause of this. One time because the dragon armour disappeared from my inventory and one time because some new DLC didn't appear on the map anymore. I'm getting tired of this.

Bioware, you had me at: "Put YOUR Warden back in action." Consider me sold. I'd like my old companions back, but this is the next best thing.

*Spoiler*

Doesn't shale search to regain her mortality after the warden shows theirself as an example that the "squishy" races aren't so bad. The epilogue sends shale off as a dwarf pigeon-murderer... so It wouldn't make much sense to me to be able to bring Shale with. However, it'd be cool to, I suppose.

I am definetly looking forward to getting this. However I hope it is not bugged like Leliana's Song, which is still not working correctly.

will we see other areas of Orzammar besides the Deep Roads?

if so,if we can import our warden from DAO, will our decisions in Orzammar be reflected in game?

best DLC so far and proves that wardens are always needed, and not just for blights

Surely it just proves that your Warden is an utter badass, not that Wardens in general are always needed? :P

While I do think these mods have pretty good functionality, as a PS3 user it is kinda vexing because of the irritating character slot limit.
