There is one point that I saw on the Xbox360Achievements.org discussion, for the 360 DA:O has 69 Achievements for 1550 GS. The achievement cap is 80 Achievements for 1750, so that means that there is a chance that future DA:O DLC may not have an achievement with it, or the Achievements will be a lot less Gamerscore.
Just putting that out there.

Maybe for that closure that everyone wants from the warden we all have come to love.
I just love playing as my warden.

Indeed.
Sadly, we will most likely see fan-made Mods of this before Bioware would indulge our wants <_<

Why so pessimistic? Yes, they missed the mark with DC and hopefully, they've learned from that disaster. LS was closer to what players wanted and it was very well received despite the changes to Lel's story and reuse of old locations. With Golems, they seem to be getting closer to what we really want . . . to be able to play our Warden again.
DC only came out 3 months ago, LS about 1 month ago and we're going to receive this new DLC in less than a week - that's 3 DLC's in 4 months!!
I don't care the cost! I'll buy it in a Darkspawn frenzy!!

It's only $5 - what do you expect?? Awakening cost $40 but I still wind up spending 25 hours on it and that's doing every side quest and companion quest.

If I've understood correctly, this takes place after the Blight. Anyway, one of my wardens is busy ruling Ferelden with Alistair, another is the head of the Alienage, and a third is off chasing Morrigan. They don't have time to sit around in a camp.

At the rate they have been coming out with DLC's these past months I'm guessing they will give us 4 more DLC's atleast.

SPOILERS AHOY!
Play as a City Elf, and when, at the end of the game, whoever is king/queen asks what you'd like say 'I wish to see my people treated more fairly' and then they'll offer to make you Bann of the Alienage. You can also nominate Shianni if you don't want it.

How long? Hard to guage since they've explicitly said that the combat will be considerably more difficult. More akin to Leliana's Song where some of the battles were quite brutal and you couldn't potion-spam. No telling how many times you'll die in a battle and have to replay it til you get it right. Official play time might only record as 2 hours since it does not take into account your re-loads from previous saves.

For once I wasnt actually whinning. It was a genuine question on the size of the dlc... i suppose i could have ascertained this from the price but that didnt actually occur to me

Have they suggested about how long we can expect this dlc to be are we talking 1 hour? 3 hours?
Now is this our Warden's last adventure?
As in will this be far enough into the future that our Warden is under-going their Calling?

Yeah, that sounds about right.
In the trailer, Jerrik, (I think that is the dwarf's name), says he is writing to the Warden for help, so I doubt this has anything to do w/ the Calling. As this being the final adventure, I have a feeling this will be the last of the Warden ... at least for a time. After this he/she will go off to live w/ Revan and the Knight-Commander, never to be heard of again.

Y'know, I tried playing Jade Empire, but the contols were bugged on the PC and it waqs a bit of a hassle to play. AFAIK, BW never fixed that. Maybe I'll give it another shot some day. But, yeah, Spirit Monk will be there too. Perhaps Elvis will drop by as well.

THIS. THIS is what I want! Four freakin days - woot!
When I first read the announcement (was on another site) I thought it sounded like a FULL expansion, the story idea just caught me right away and I was like, ahhhh, THAT's where my Warden went... Love it... Where's my purse... Wait.. DLC, not XP...
Even from just the tid-bit of story info on the video, the general idea of the plot of this DLC gives scope for SO much in regards to possibility of the Warden's adventure, and even future adventures. I wouldn't mind a squeal to DA with overtures like this... AND the fact that it will fit nicely with my Warden's Backstory (Nyra Aeducan) and her interaction with the Dace house, is just full of freakin WIN!!!!
Can you tell I I'm excited by this DLC?
Biowear, I [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/heart.png[/smilie] you again - but I want my Alistair back at my side! C'mon, have a little Alistair / Warden <3 Bio - and not just the for the Cousland lasses!

Any DLC for Awakening? A DLC for a DLC...
Well technically, this is a DLC for Awakening since you can import your Awakening Warden as well as an Origins Warden.
This begs the question, however - will the new spells/talents/skills introduced in Awakening appear in this DLC? I'm thinking that it must have all the new stuff introduced in Awakening. Tier 9 items, Runecrafting, Spirit Warrior, Battlemage - just to mention a few things. Therefore, if you import an Origins character, all of these new features will be available. In fact, the Origins Warden will seem very, very underpowered compared to an Awakening Warden that you import into GoA.
Is this going to cause some game-play imbalances?? I can see how it would be super-difficult for an Origins Warden to fight against foes designed to take on an Awakening Warden. Maybe that's where the difficulty/challenge lies??
