What!!!!!!!....no recipe in LATIN!!!!....you're slipping!
Sigh. Maybe I should have specifically answered that criticism too - I never once asked you to name a bat in latin, but simply to name a species of bat, instead of just "bat". You see, the word "bat" is kind of like the word "bird". Just like "a bird" is not a species, where "seagul" or "eagle" would be species OF bird, a "bat" is not a species, but "fruit bat" or "vampire bat" is.
My very polite note to you, which you apparently took personally and decided that I was some sort of a snob that expected everybody to speak fluent latin, was simply to ask you to name a species so that others - who might have wanted to use, say, "vampire bat" in the list, would still have the option, rather than take up all the various species of bats under the general name for the whole group. There are actually more than a thousand different bat species in the world. That's about a fifth of all classified mammalian species. So you see that my "bird" comparison is quite apt.
And just English is fine, though google can get you the latin name with about 5 seconds of effort, if you want to be fancy.
And please don't try to read antagonism or some sort of elitism into my posts, as nothing of the sort is intended.

I just don't seem to be able to get through to you. Why do you choose to take offense at what I say, when I don't say anything remotely offensive?
