I created a new character in ME 1 to play through ME 1 and 2 and eventually 3. I checked my achievments to see which ones I had not yet earned. One of them was "Completed Ahern's Survival Mission". I cannot find how to trigger this. This is my third play through of ME 1 and still have not triggered it or found what it relates to. It is not mentioned in the Prima Guide that I can find either. Can anyone enlighten me on how I earn this achievment?

Pinnacle station.

complete all 12 challenges there and then you will get a special scenario from admiral Ahern. Not much more to say here. What difficulty you are going to pick for Pinnacle Station by the way?

Thanks for the info. I will probably try normal difficulty first. Don't have real good fine motor control.

Argh, i was hoping that someone else likes pinnacle station on insanity too. I love a good challenge, especially because a hell of a lof of people are ranting about PS beeing totally unfair to the player. But what's better than a good fight? Right? I AM KROGAAAAN!!!!!!!! =D

Nope, pinnacle station on insanity, especially volcanic hunt is just a bit too out there for my taste.

On Insanity volcanic hunt my best is 64 kills, however i have recorded a video of myself with a result of 61 kills and intend to upload it on youtube in about a little bit more than a month, cuz at the moment i'm stuck with uber slow interwebz connection. + I have more videos of other challenges... =D

Hunt in Insanity is too luck based, especially volcanic and jungle. about 20 tries for each. Only time in the game I turned difficulty down. Arhem´s was really easy, though.

I had more trouble with tropical time trial on hardcore than anything, including volcanic hunt. And that was with an AR adept juggernaut. I didn't even want to try with my infiltrator on insanity, I might lose my mind.

The only hard challenge on insanity is tropical hunt. Volcanic hunt is easy peasy when you now what you are doing. I've got 55 kills in my second run on volcanic, about 70 kills abaut 5th time on tropical. the only thing why you think it is luck based is that you don't understand the enemy spawning mechanism. I've a vid of tropical hunt on insanity with 81 kills. Beat that. =D
