Bumping the topic.

With Beyond Good and Evil HD being a decent re-release on the market place, I think a tie in with TOR would be great, rereleasing Kotor1&2 on the marketplace in HD.

I'd buy it.

wait, it doesn't work on the 360 any more? Because it ustacould. I still have it and KotOR 2.

Wait, wait. Looking through, I guess these people are asking for you to release the game again (because buying it from half.com would be far too difficult). It would be rather easy for ya'll to implement the xbox original download through live. You'd get like $20 a pop. I don't like doing it that way, myself, because I like having a hard copy of the game, but it would be a very easy and profitable solution.

I'd much rather have an HD remake of both KOTOR games on the Xbox 360 for Games on Demand. I still have both games, and I play them on my original Xbox because all the original titles are so glitchy on the Xbox 360. In KOTOR II, for example, there is this really annoying screeching sound that comes every 15 seconds that makes it impossible to enjoy the game. Unless these glitches (especially that one) are fixed, it's really better to play them o the original Xbox.

There are a couple different ways I percieve KOTOR on 360.

One, if you already own it, all you have to do is put it in the 360 so you wouldn't really need the other option.

Or two, a Games On Demand would be good, but it'd need to be an HD remake.

Personally, I'd like to see a complete remake of KOTOR with updated graphics, but I seriously doubt that'll happen.

I myself own a copy of Knights of the Old Republic I and II (which seems like a plus for me if what someone said earlier about them being expensive true) and they work fine on the XBOX 360. However, I agree that there should be some graphic updates to the game.

I'm hoping that they'll be releasing a Knights III. I've enjoyed both previous games so much. I prefer the first, but the second one was no bore. So I guess coming from someone that owns the original and an XBOX 360, I think it's fine to just deal with the (not totally) poor graphics and wait through until HOPEFULLY LucasArts will put out a third to this magnificent game.

If you have even a decent PC, you can get the PC version pretty cheap, and the performance is much better. I loved KoTOR on the o.g. Xbox, but it lagged and had some bad frame rate issues.. If the game had been even just a good game, the technical issues would have been a deal breaker. I bought the PC version when it came out and I still have it and it is smooth and has a few extras.. Nice part about the PC version, is it has a command console and mods.

I absolutely agree. I have only played KotOR 2 and I can't get any disc copies of them. I would love to see them remastered or even just the regular versions of it on the Marketplace.

Alright Guys, erm proberly the wrong section but still, we all know BW wont remake kotor, and obisiden wont remake kotor 2. But there is hope, small hope but, if we look back to when kotor two was released it was obisidens first ever game!! and thats no small feat! But anyway as i was saying there is hope for all you kotor maniacs since i am one myself :D. My company AVMP Studios UK is Based in Manchester England, but we are putting together a international team of gamers, coders, animators, etc, to remake and create not one kotor but 3 kotor games for xbox 360 only, dependent on permission from bioware, obisiden and lucasarts, send me an email if yous want some more information or add me on skype :

as long as we the passionate fans are willing to buy Kotor 1 and 2. I do think that the fans can give the Developers some good ideas for improving Kotor 1 and 2.

And Shorty, That would be cool.

The place to take this has always been Lucas Arts, for the funding, since they have the copyrights.

that is true, Just-Me. And Like a good business, they want money to support their business. So if the Demand is good with Sane Fans, then the likelihood of A Kotor 1 Special Edition with improved game play, Improved Game length(more screen time for all of our favorite characters and improved Villains), maybe a new playable/recuritable character or two, a few new planets.

Lucas Arts no longer has a dedicated General Discussion forum for either KotOR, it doesn't seem.

They have this one for Tech Questions:

forums.lucasarts.com/forum.jspa

This seems to be the closest thing to General Discussion of older Lucas Arts games (although it seems to be PC, after all):

Would love to see it brought to the 360 as well. My old xbox copy was finally swiped again, you know a game is good when it keeps getting stolen! Had to buy Mass Effect & KotOR about three times already, so I wouldn't mind it at all having to buy it again from live or something. Love that game.

I'd love KotOR 1 & 2 to come to Xbox live, I have both games for original X-box but alas my original X-box won't open it's disk drive and when playing the games on the 360 it has bouts of fast forwarding and glitching.

I'd support it, however I rebought an Xbox copy of KOTOR for $10 at Gamestop back in 08' and it works fine on my 360. KOTOR 2 I wouldnt mind buying on the cheap somewhere....

I would f**** give any amount of money if they really manage to remake both titles. I don't mean an ENTIRE remake (like Halo Anniversary - though this would be more than awesome), but just an HD optimized version with achievements and maybe some extra features and I would be soooo pleased. The Xbox version runs so bad on the 360...

Give Disney some time to digest its purchase, then check the above links again to see if there is new information.
