Just curious. I'm going to do my first playthrough.
Anything I should buy before I start it up? I have Shale already.
Simple Question: What DLC for this game is worth buying?

I would say all of them except DSC and the Feastday Gifts/Pranks, for different reasons and to different degrees. It's impossible to go into more detail in a non-spoilers forum

Hey thanks for the help.
I don't mind minor spoilers if that'd make it easier.

That's not allowed in this part of the forum. It's no spoilers at all. If you want more detail, you should ask the question again, in a spoilers forum, but since you're new to the game, I would suggest that you avoid those until after your first playthrough, at least. You have Stone prisoner, so I'd buy Warden's Keep and RtO now,and leave Leliana's song for after your first playthrough. It's stand alone, and you should complete the game before you play it, anyway.
I would suggest not playing the DLC until at least mid game, as the items you find are scaled to your level. While they can be upgraded, it's not inexpensive.
Enjoy the game!

Not a problem! You're about to have a ton of fun--I wish I could do it all again without knowing any of it. Uh, speaking of that, this is a game that spoilers really, um, spoils, so I'd actually stay away from here altogether until you've finished that first playthrough. People aren't as careful about what they say as they should be.

Leliana's Song and Darkspawn Chronicles are separate campaigns so you don't need to worry about waiting until you have them to start a game. although completing them can unlock items to use in the regular campaign
I enjoyed all of the DLCs although the best ones in my opinion are Leliana's Song, Shale and Soldier's Peak
Return to Ostagar is very simple and short, but does offer some nice closure to some story points
Darkspawn Chronicles doesn't have much in the way of story (although it does have some spoilers to the main campaign so I'd recomend completing that before trying it) but it's a good bit of mindless fun
the feast day set is silly and funny, doesn't add much to the game but might make you smile and even laugh

In all honesty, Return to Ostagar, Wardens Keep, and Awakening, the rest kind of felt like a waste of money....but that's just my opinion

I second return to ostagar and wardens keep. If I couldn't get all of them, those two would be the ones I'd absolutely want, if you've got shale already. Leliana's song and darkspawn chronicles are a neat diversion, but not having them would be okay with me.

All of them are Useful and not to spoil anything if you get Leilanas Song and/or Darkspawn Chronicles complete those scenarios first so you can benefit from their bonuses though Darkspawn may spoiler you up since its a alternet version of the final battle in game.

Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar, The Stone Prisoner should be main due to the rewards.
Leliana's Song and DSC well Leliana's Song add some "story" if your a fan. DSC I would say if you want the reward for finishing it.
Awakening on the other hand if you want to continue your char I would say this one since Golems of Amgarrak says you can imported your Awakening char.

Personally I was happy with all of them. and I found the Feastday pranks really funny too. $3 is not much for a good laugh IMO. I waste a lot more than that on junk food.
this is how I would rank all of them
1. Leliana's Song
2. The Stone Prisoner
3. Warden's Keep
4. Feastday
5. Return to Ostagar
6. Darkspawn Chronicles
looking forward to the new Golem DLC as well

My picks are (pretty much in order) Return to Ostagar, Stone Prisoner, and Warden's Keep. I've found myself uninterested in Darkspawn Chronicles after working so hard through so many playthroughs to get rid of the benighted things. I have Leliana's Song, though I haven't played it yet.

If the game is a new purchase, the Stone Prisoner (Shale) is a free download. That leaves Warden's Keep (read description on Bioware's website) and Return to Ostagar.
