So, today I decided to finish off my Dragon Age: Origins achievements. I only had "The Ulitimate Sacrifice" and the completionist, or whatever its called left.

Well I took one of my characters which I had saved right before the Landsmeet and played it through, refusing Morrigan's offer and killing the Archdemon and giving up my own life. I watched the ending, but skipped the credits... Nothing happened.

So,  I went back to another save and sacrificed Alister... nothing happened.

I then looked it up online to look for issues. I really only found one, but it was for the going through Morrigan's ritual achievement. It said that you had to go back to your game after beating it and go to your camp. I did that... nothing happened.

The only thing that I can possibly think of is to replay the entire game with a brand new character... I doubt my wife would like that very much, and quite honestly I really wouldn't either. Its a fun game and all, but I have already played it through twice and I think I am ready to move on for awhile... at least untill the next expansion.

Any advice or help would be wonderful.

you should download Return to Ostagar then. Ultimate Sacrifice popped up when I loaded the post-game autosave after I downloaded it for some reason. I've read it's happened to a lot of people before.

out of all the achievement glitches the game had, that was probably the most welcome!

This achievement popped completely unexpectedly for me.....after Alistair died giving the killing blow to the archdemon lulz.

Interesting. I finally got the perfectionist achievement, and i loaded the post-game auto save. I already downloaded Return to Ostagar when it first came out. I will try running around a bit to see if it will eventually go.



It is slightly frustating considering that this is the last achievement I need.

Okay, so it still didn't pop. I then decided to delete the Return to Ostagar DLC and then reinstall it, and that didn't work either. Any other ideas?

well, I got the Ultimate Sacrifice when I loaded the post-game save in the game where I did the ritual with Morrigan



have you sacrificed Loghain too?

you know, according to your player profile you already have that achievement. ha, that's funny

Meh, I guess I am just not allowed to have that achievement. Maybe it will give it to me sometime playing the new DLC that will be coming out.
