The problem is the region code in the UK version is 2... The US version is 1... Don't order it from US if you bought your PS3 in europe.

Check the DAO sales figures, consoles have outsold pcs by a giant margin - without the evil devil-spawn console users, developers like Bioware would have a much smaller profit margin which means much, much smaller development investment = less games, expansions,DLC, polish

the funny thing is, i have a decent laptop (M17x). I just prefer sitting on my couch with a controller while my wife sprawls over / next to me reading her book

no offense to any consolers since i'm impartial to any gaming rig buttt....PC's were doing fine without consoles back in the day so don't think consoles are saving the gaming world.  If consoles never came along people would most likely buy pc's to play their games instead.

Agreed, but a few things have changed since then, namely piracy and big business. The amount of money in the gaming industry is now monumentally massive. This year alone the UK has spent more money on gaming then music, movies and cinema combined

Does that make it better then before? I dont know, but i do know that more money will mean more investment and therefore more games which, in the end, is exactly what the consumer (us) wants in the end right?

And jsut for the record, console gaming has been around for just as long as pc gaming. (the first console was released in 1972) so that arguement is quite void

Although, in defense of your point, console and PC content have only truly looked eye to eye in the latest console generation so one oculd say they were two seperate entities (although i dont agree witht hat)

Hmmm, let's see. Brand new PS3=$300. Brand new Xbox360=$200-$300. Gaming rig computer able to play this game even on console like graphics settings...$3000! Just saying, if you don't have a rig already, and you do have a console, it would be pretty dumb to buy a new $3000 rig just to play this game. I have a nice laptop that gets everything done that I need, so only paying 60 bucks to play this epic game is a steal and easily makes up for minor graphical downgrades on consoles.

I think you missed the point of my post Riggazz. Every argument I put forth was in favor of consoles. should have said that since I already own the console (PS3) that it was a steal to play at 60 bucks, even if the console version supposedly doesn't look as good. P.S Also playing on 40 inch lcd with surround from the PS3 version and loving every second. Sorry for any confusion.

Eh, just tossing out there, there are us PC players who play on a 40inch HDTV with surround sound, while laying in a big chair with feet propped up on an ottoman also. Running in 1920x1080 all looks fine to me. Wireless keyboard and mouse. I've been using my HDTV as a computer monitor for almost 2 yrs now. When 1080p came along it finally became a good option. Also allows me to use my comp as a media center with the TV easily. Off-topic, but just wanted to say you console folks don't have the market cornered on big screens and surround sound. Heh.

Oh man I hate this console vs. PC debate. Why can't people focus on something else and get on with their lives. It's so damn frustrating to hear the same crap all over again no matter what the topic is. Play and let play.

But anyway, still waiting for DA:O on PS3 (Finland). The worst part is that once I get my copy, I only have two days to play it before I "have to"  travel to Thailand for a couple of weeks...

Apparently, you are not aware of the fact that people can play pc games on lcd monitors just as large...and larger...if they choose to do so.

Regardless, I'm glad that you will soon be getting the game and be able to play it on your 40inch lcd. Too bad, however, about your penis.

My gaming rig can be made for ~800....And when I am done playing the game I can ...work on it... omg ...And no ..no amount of graphical downgrading and stilted OMFG HOWDOIFITTHIS **** INTOAN*BUTTON CONTROLLER contortionism is worth playing a game (especially one like this) on a console...

Much the same way that its more satisfying to play sports games on a console...

I'm admired by your patience riggazz, therefor i hope you will enjoy it on the ps3. im myself a PC gamer as i feel the most comfort in but i have to admit consoles do have their own advantages.



btw i've heard the ps3 graphics are better then the 360 in this game that might help waiting the next 3 days^^

Oh and i think he meant the DLC content wont be able to be downlaoded for the UK PS3 if you have the US version, meaning the game will work, just not any of the current and future DLC
